File Description

This is the basic pack of the BW Mod and contains some early releases. It will be updated in the future. It can be used in conjunction with other BW Mod files or as a standalone addon.

You'll get some new infantry units, with new weaponry, and some markers.

They units look very nice indeed, with a talented team behind the addon who already have a solid reputation. Well worth a download.

1. ADDON DESCRIPTION
--------------------
The Basic Pack contains a set of German infantry weapons and soldiers.
Additionally it contains configurations and scripts for vehicles
and their weapons, and thus is required by all BWMod addons.

Consider this release as Beta!
Future versions will include updated soldier models and textures
as well as revised and new weapons.

2. ADDON CONTENT
----------------
The addon contains a very early version of our new soldier models
and some new weapons, like the G22 sniper rifle, the P8 pistol and the
Panzerfaust 3 anti-tank weapon.
Also, older BWMod 1.3 weapons were included to ensure that
enough different units are provided for mission creators.

Additionaly some markers have been implented provisionally.

See detailed information on the content in the Mission Editing
reference given in this file.

4. INSTALLATION
---------------
Extract the .pbo files from the Archive into your
Operation Flashpoint: Resistance (TM) Addons folder or a mod folder
of your choice.

Make sure to have the latest version of Operation Flashpoint: Resistance
installed (currently 1.96)!

5. COMPATIBILTY REFERENCE
-------------------------
If your using the Basic Pack v 1.21 with the BWMod V1.3 Demo, please
delete the following PBOs:

BWMOD_Soldaten.pbo
BWMOD_MG3.pbo
BWMOD_P8.pbo
BWMOD_PzFst3.pbo

If your using the Basic Pack v1.21 with the Basic Pack v1.0, please
delete the following PBOs:

BWMOD_Soldaten.pbo
BWMOD_G36.pbo
BWMOD_P8.pbo

Other weapon PBOs from older releases (eg. BWMOD_G3A3.pbo) can stay
in your addon folder and used with the Basic Pack v 1.21

6. MISSION EDITING
------------------

 GAMELOGIC
 ---------
 The Basic Pack contains a Gamelogic (Gamelogic/BWMod/BWMod Server).
 This Gamelogic is required both in single player and multi player and
 error messages will be given (a hint window will pop up)
 when the Gamelogic has not been placed on the map.

 The Gamelogic initializes multi player scripts if required and will
 be improved in the future.

 It will name itself "BWMod_Server", so you can use it for your own
 scripts.

 COMMANDS
 --------
 There are a few commands provided with this Basic Pack:

 BWMod_NoEffects
  -> if set to true, both fire and chopper dust effects will be disabled.

 BWMod_NoFire
  -> if set to true, fire effects will be disabled.

 BWMod_NoDust
  -> if set to true, chopper dust effects will be disabled.

 SCRIPTS
 -------

  OFFICER CUSTOMIZATION SCRIPT
  With this script one can customize the colour of and the 
  emblem on the officer's beret.
  Put the following line in a script or the init-line of
  the officer:

  	[UnitName,x,y] exec "\BWMOD_Scripts\inf\customize.sqs"

 	 x: Color of beret
		0 = Green
		1 = Black
		2 = Blue
		3 = Red

 	 y: Type of emblem
		0 = Panzergrenadier (Mechanized/Armoured Infantry)
		1 = Fallschirmjäger (Airborne/Paratrooper)
		2 = Sanitäter (Medic)
		3 = Artillerie (Artillery)

  Standard: Panzergrenadier-Officer (Green beret, PzGren emblem)
  Updated version may include customization of rank.

  TACTICAL SIGNS SCRIPT
  By using this script you can customize the type of
  tactical signs on our vehicles.

  Put the following line in a script or the init-line of
  the vehicle:

	[UnitName,x,y,z] exec "\BWMOD_Scripts\veh\tact.sqs"

 	 x : Number of own unit
 	 y : Type of troop (refer to Troop Type List)
 	 z : Number of next higher unit

 RESERVED VARIABLES
 ------------------

 The Basic Pack uses numerous variables which should not be
 changed by the user.

  BWMOD_MPGame
   -> true, if more than one player is connected to the server.

  BWMOD_initiated
   -> true, if all necessary scripts have been loaded.

 However, you can query these variables if required for scripts, etc.
