Responsible Persons 7. Contact 1. ADDON DESCRIPTION -------------------- The Wolf is a light off-road vehicle and in service with the German armed forces since 1989. Originally developed by Mercedes-Benz and Steyr-Puch of Austria for the shah of persia (who ordered roughly 20.000 vehicles that were never delivered due to the Islamic revolution), the robust and versatile vehicle was quickly adopted by civilian as well as military customers. Replacing the VW Iltis as the standard light off-road vehicle, roughly 10.000 Wolf were procured by the Bundeswehr serving in numerous different roles including personnel and general transport, but also carrying shelters or mission specific payload. Driven by a 92 hp diesel engine, it was considered slightly underpowered, which led to the adoption of several variants with 95 hp respectively 115 hp. Maximum road speed is 120 kph, payload is roughly 0.5 t (short wheelbase) respectively 1 t (long wheelbase). Although generally not protected against small arms fire, several lightly armoured variants are in service with the military police and other units. Soft top versions can be armed with a machine gun or a Milan ATGM launcher. 2. ADDON CONTENT ---------------- This addon includes the Mercedes 250 GD "Wolf" by McCancey in NATO camo. 3. INSTALLATION --------------- Extract the .pbo file from the archive into your Operation Flashpoint: Resistance (TM) Addons folder or a mod folder of your choice. Make sure to have the latest version of Operation Flashpoint: Resistance installed (currently 1.96)! BW-Mod Basic Pack v 1.21 or higher required! 5. MISSION EDITING ------------------ TACTICAL SIGNS SCRIPT --------------------- The mission editor is able to customize the type of tactical signs on the Wolf.
