This is a fix of Footmuchs old F-16. There are four versions of the Falcon in the addon:
All planes carry the M61 Vulcan cannon, as well as mission specific ordinance for typical roles:
MiGCAP - MiG Combat Air Patrol - A standard air superiority selection, with 4 long range AMRAAM, and 2 'dogfighting' Sidewinder missiles.
CAS - Close Air Support - For battlefield strikes, 4 Maverick guided missiles, and 6 Mk-82 bombs.
SEAD - Suppress Enemy Air Defenses - To attack enemy SAM and Radar sites, this version mounts 2 HARM missiles, while 4 Mk-20 cluster bombs destroy any support vehicles.
Strike - Precision Strike/Interdiction - Carrying 2 Laser guided bombs, this Falcon is used to destroy infrastructure and war production installations. LANTIRN tracking and acquistion pods are fitted automatically.
Very well done airplanes. Good job Footmunch!
Lockheed Martin F-16C Falcon by Footmunch (Thanks to HitSqdZulu for MP testing, and HavocSquad for extensive beta testing) -HISTORY While the USAF had enjoyed considerable success in the Korean War with the F-86 Sabre, the performance of the F-4 in Vietnam was not as good. While some thought that further advances in missile technology could overcome these problems (with the F-15 Eagle being the result of this outlook), others were interested in continuing the concept of light, maneuvarable fighters. Also, such a 'cheap' fighter could be given to NATO and friendly nations, in much the same fashion as the F-5 and F-104. The General Dynamics YF-16 was designed to meet this LWF (light weight fighter)requirement, and beat the competing Northrop YF-17. The Falcon has undergone almost continual development up until today. The latest version of the F-16, the F-16C Block 50/52 has the ability to carry and effectively launch a large assortment of air to ground weapons, from anti-radar missiles to cluster bombs, while remaining a considerable threat to opposing aircraft. -ADDON There are four versions of the Falcon in the addon: All planes carry the M61 Vulcan cannon, as well as mission specific ordanance for typical roles: MiGCAP - MiG Combat Air Patrol - A standard air superiority selection, with 4 long range AMRAAM, and 2 'dogfighting' Sidewinder missiles. The roundel is changed by inserting the line: this setobjecttexture[0, "\rktroundels\r_denmark.paa"] into the initialisation box in the mission editor. The latter parameter should point to a 512x256 PAA or PAC texture file. The plane will then appear with, in this case, Danish markings. There is a set of roundel images conatined in the RKTRoundels.pbo file found at www.footmunch.org.uk The planes can be assigned a designation number using the script command: [this, 419] exec "\rktf16\scr\number.sqs" in the init field in the mission editor. In the above case, the plane will have the number 419 written on the tail. The number can be changed to any value from 0 to 999. Note that all both commands can be combined on the same plane.
