T-80 followed closely by the Leopard 2 and T-90.
i'm not suprised to see that piece of junk Abrams in second place despite the fact that it can be destroyed by RPGs shot to the front
P.S. i'm not russian, arab, mexican or german, just Portuguese so none of that "go back to russia commie" comments.

The new greek mbt is leopard 2HEL, an upgrated version of leopard 2a6 and many believe that this is the world's best tank, but there is no such thing here to vote. Anyway German armor rules!!!!
|#7 - why T90 is better than T80?! - Posted by: Respectre (Member) on 11-02-2008 at 10:42|
the most funny thing is that this peace of junk, so called MBT T90 is on 4 place than really advanced T80 (i mean also its modifications T80u, T80um1) is only 6! LOL!
T90 is optimised version of russian MBT designed for crappy RF economic with only one goal: to make russsian MBT cost as lower as it could be (and to be superior to T72 - another "optimised" peace of sheet). So, in several words, T90 is chassis of T72 with T80 tower. It is never even meant to be superior to T80))))

#7 because this is a poll of people's opinions and they can only vote once ... so it's not that it's truly the 4th best . it's that only 15 voted for it to be the best in their opinion. On that note , with a more upgraded turret it would make it a better tank then the T-80 per-say. Who shoots first generally wins.
#6 I can't be expected to keep up with every country's MBT can I ? :P I did at lest lest 2 versions of the Leopard 2 by country that I know of.

The Leopard (2A6) is the best tank in the world, and thats fact. Much better then the Abrams or the Merkava also as the T-90 and the Challenger 2. That was tested.
The new Leopard 2 (PSO) Peace Supporting Operations (or so :D ) is much stronger than the 2A6.
Greeting from Germany!

As far as i know abrams is superior in a desert where can be no ambushes and support is working good and of course aerial reconnasaince

Abrams does dominate open ground even without good (air) support, but in the urban and forests Leopard owns.
