COMPATIBILTY REFERENCE ------------------------- If you are using the Basic Pack v 1.5 with the BWMod V1.3 Demo, please delete the following PBOs: BWMOD_Soldaten.pbo BWMOD_MG3.pbo BWMOD_P8.pbo BWMOD_PzFst3.pbo If you are using the Basic Pack v 1.5 with the Basic Pack v1.0, please delete the following PBOs: BWMOD_Soldaten.pbo BWMOD_G36.pbo BWMOD_P8.pbo If you are using the Basic Pack v1.5 with the Basic Pack v 1.21 or older, simply overwrite the older version. Other weapon PBOs from older releases (eg. BWMOD_G3A3.pbo) can stay in your addon folder and can be used with the Basic Pack v 1.5. 6. MISSION EDITING ------------------ GAMELOGIC --------- The Basic Pack contains a Gamelogic (Gamelogic/BWMod/BWMod Server). This Gamelogic is required both in single and multi player and an error message will be given (a hint window will pop up) when the Gamelogic has not been placed on the map. The Gamelogic initializes multi player scripts if required, defines variables, etc. It will name itself "BWMod_Server", so you can use it for your own scripts. COMMANDS -------- There are a few commands provided with this Basic Pack: BWMod_NoDust -> if set to true, chopper dust effects will be disabled. BWMod_NoEffects -> if set to true, both fire and chopper dust effects will be disabled. BWMod_NoFire -> if set to true, fire effects will be disabled. BWMod_NoScripts -> if set to true, all scripts will be disabled. BWMOD_NoSmoke -> if set to true, smoke launcher on vehicles will be disabled. BWMOD_NoSuspension -> if set to true, suspension scripts will be disabled. BWMOD_NoGunRec -> if set to true, gun recoil will be disabled. Best place this commands in the init.sqs file of the mission (must be created in the mission directory) or in a trigger to prohibit multiplayer compability issues. SCRIPTS ------- OFFICER CUSTOMIZATION SCRIPT With this script one can customize the colour of and the emblem on the officer's beret. Put the following line in a script or the init-line of the officer: [UnitName,x,y] exec "\BWMOD_Scripts\inf\customize.sqs" x: Color of beret 0 = Green 1 = Black 2 = Blue 3 = Red 4 = Dark Blue 5 = Light Red y: Type of emblem 0 = Panzergrenadiertruppe (Mechanized/Armoured Infantry) 1 = Fallschirmjägertruppe (Airborne/Paratrooper) 2 = Sanitätsdienst (Medical) 3 = Artillerietruppe (Artillery) 4 = Pioniertruppe (Combat Engineers) 5 = Jägertruppe (Light Infantry) 6 = Feldjägertruppe (Military Police) 7 = Fernmeldetruppe (Signals/Communications) 8 = Fernspähtruppe (Special Operations Reconnaissance) 9 = Kommando Spezialkräfte (Special Operations) 10 = Heeresfliegertruppe (Army Aviation) 11 = Flugabwehrtruppe (Air Defence) 12 = Instandsetzungstruppe (Repairs) 13 = Panzeraufklärungstruppe (Reconnaissance) 14 = Panzertruppe (Armored) 15 = Nachschubtruppe (Logistics) 16 = Truppe für Operative Information (Psychological Operations) 17 = Marinesicherungsdienst (Übersetzung noch unklar) 18 = DF-Brigade (Franco-German Brigade) 19 = ABC-Abwehrtruppe (NBC Reconnaissance) Standard: Panzergrenadier-Officer (Green beret, PzGren emblem) Updated version may include customization of rank. TACTICAL SIGNS SCRIPT By using this script you can customize the type of tactical signs on our vehicles. Put the following line in a script or the init-line of the vehicle: [UnitName,x,y,z] exec "\BWMOD_Scripts\veh\tact.sqs" x : Number of own unit y : Type of troop (refer to Troop Type List) z : Number of next higher unit TROOP TYPE LIST 0: No Symbol 1: Panzertruppe 2: Panzerartillerie 3: Panzeraufklaerer 4: Panzergrenadiere 5: Panzerpioniere 6: Panzerjaeger 7: Panzerjaeger (Rakete) 8: Jaeger 9: Gebirgsjaeger 10: Fallschirmjaeger 11: Aufklaerer 12: Fernspaeher 13: Fernmeldetruppe 14: EloKa 15: ABC Abwehr 16: Artillerie 17: Feldjaeger 18: Heeresflugabwehr 19: Heeresflieger 20: Instandsetzung 21: Pioniere 22: Sanitaeter 23: KSK VEHICLE SMOKE LAUNCHER SCRIPT The Basic Pack includes a smoke launcher script for vehicles which launches the smoke grenades according to the direction of the vehicles turret. Due to mulitplayer compatiblity issues, we had to disable the use of the smoke launcher by the vehicles commander. CALLSIGNS --------- In this version of the Basic Pack, additional callsigns for groups and HQs have been implented. To use these, use the following command lines: GROUP CALLSIGN To set a new group callsign use the command setGroupID on the group leader. Example (init line): this setGroupID ["BWMod_CS_Wolf","GroupColor0"] The group callsign will then be "Wolf". HQ CALLSIGN To use a HQ callsign, use the following code: [west,"BWMod_HQ_Kommandozentrale"] sideChat "Alpha, this is HQ. Come in. Over." The sender of the group will then be "Kommandozentrale", in game the following line would apear on the player's screen: Kommandozentrale: "Alpha, this is HQ. Come in. Over." CUSTOM CALLSIGNS FOR GROUPS AND HQs: By defining the values STR_BWMod_CS_Custom01 or STR_BWMod_CS_Custom02 in the stringtable.csv, the mission editor is capable of defining custom callsigns for up to two groups. Simply create the stringtable.csv, define the string with your custom callsign and set the group's ID to BWMod_CS_Custom01 or BWMod_CS_Custom02. Same goes for the HQ callsigns. Define the strings STR_BWMod_HQ_Custom01 or STR_BWMod_HQ_Custom02 you can create unique HQ names for the mission(s). Use [west,"BWMod_HQ_Custom01"] or [west,"BWMod_HQ_Custom02"] as sender.
