There's a new tournament coming to Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, as PUBG Corp. have revealed their plans for the PUBG Nations Cup, a world cup of nations that will complete against each other to crown one nation the best in the world at obtaining that chicken dinner.
16 nations will be taking place, and each country will have a selection process where four players will be determined for their national team. Each country will have it's own specific methods of selecting their representing team of players, and there's a top prize of $500,000 up for grabs.
Jake Sin, the director of central esports said;
Nations Cup, the first PUBG-hosted global esports event of the year, is the embodiment of international competition, which brings together the top players from around the world to represent their countries. Nations Cup will close out an exciting summer of PUBG esports and we look forward to continuing that momentum throughout the rest of the year.
The event starts on the 9th of August and will run through to the 11th.
