DESCRIPTION

This map is sort of an homage to Hexen and Quake 1 with its medieval design and autumn motif but it is set during the Strogg invasion of Earth around 2065. This map supports three Light Detail levels: 0 (Max), 5 (Medium), 10 (Minimum).

INSTALLATION
------------
You must have Quake 4 v1.3 or higher already installed.

1) Extract the contents of "atw21.rar" to your "/q4base/" folder, after which you'll find the following files:

	atw2_data.pk4		->	Custom textures used by this map.
	atw2_maps.pk4		->	Custom materials, guides, models, definitions, and the ATW2 map.
	atw2_license.txt	->	The Creative Commons License for the custom assets I created.
	atw2_readme.txt		->	This file. Surprising, isn't it?
	atw2_credit/*		->	All the readme files from all the third-party assets included.

2) The map should now be available from the Server menu. If you want to walk around in the map in singleplayer type "map mp/atw2" in the console.

To uninstall ATW2, simply delete the files you extracted.

v2.1: June 2007

*Replaced all the ladders with jumps because patch v1.3 removed ladders in multiplayer. I was waiting for id Software to release the final v1.4.1 patch to see if they had fixed it but I'm tired of waiting. This changes the dynamics of the map completely making it much faster paced though it did turn out better than I had anticipated.

*Used some of the medieval themed official textures that came with the v1.3 patch in place of some custom ones I was using to reduce filesize and asset management complexity.

*Compressed most of the custom texture assets with DXTn to reduce download size, texture usage and improve loading times.
