DC Guns by DC Doom

5 weapon mods. Each mod has its own pk4 file so you can pick only the ones you want.

Installation:

Unzip Q4DCGuns.zip.
It contains the dcguns folder and 5 pk4 files.
Place the dcguns folder into your quake4 folder, not your quake4\q4base folder.
Choose the pk4 files you want and place them into your quake4\dcguns folder.
Some weapons have more than one pk4 file. You can only run one pk4 file at a time for any individual weapon.

Uninstall: delete dcguns folder.

Playing game:

Start up Quake 4.
Select mods tab.
Select DC Guns from the list.
Select load mod tab.
*** DONT PANIC *** when you are sent back to the desktop for 10 seconds or so, it can take a while for the mod to load.
Start up a game.

MOD descriptions:

Weapons **************************
Some weapons have alternative firing modes, for primary fire press the attack button, for secondary fire hold down the zoom button while pressing the attack button.


MG1.pk4 - Machinegun - Alt fire w/grenade launcher.
Primary fire - regular machinegun fire.
Secondary fire - launches micro grenade. The grenade does 25% damage of the regular grenade and its ammo cost is one bullet. Grenade does not explode when it hits a monster.

MG2.pk4 - Machinegun - Alt fire w/grenade launcher2.
Primary fire - regular machinegun fire.
Secondary fire - a micro grenade will be launched at twice the velocity of the standard grenade and will explode on contact. The grenade does 25% damage of the standard grenade and its ammo cost is one bullet.

MG3.pk4 - Machinegun - Alt fire w/ rocket launcher.
Primary fire - regular machinegun fire.
Secondary fire - launches micro rocket. The rocket does 25% damage of the standard grenade and its ammo cost is one bullet.

MG4.pk4 - Machinegun - Alt fire w/ sticky bomb.
Primary fire - regular machinegun fire.
Secondary fire - launches micro sticky bomb which sticks to whatever it hits. It detonates either by fuse or by hitting a monster. The bomb does 25% damage of the standard grenade and its ammo cost is one bullet.

SG1.pk4 - Shotgun  slug gun - Alt fire w/grenade launcher.
Primary fire - fires a slug (75 damage) .
Secondary fire - launches a mini grenade. The grenade does 50% damage of the regular grenade and its ammo cost is one shell.

SG2.pk4 - Shotgun  slug gun - Alt fire w/grenade launcher2.
Primary fire - fires slug .
Secondary fire - launches mini grenade at twice the velocity of the standard grenade and will explode on contact. The grenade does 50% damage of the regular grenade and its ammo cost is one shell.

SG3.pk4 - Shotgun  slug gun - Alt fire w/rocket launcher.
Primary fire - fires slug .
Secondary fire - launches mini rocket. The rocket does 50% damage of the regular grenade and its ammo cost is one shell.

SG4.pk4 - Shotgun  slug gun - Alt fire w/sticky bomb.
Primary fire - fires slug .
Secondary fire - launches mini sticky bomb which sticks to whatever it hits. The bomb does 50% damage of the regular grenade and its ammo cost is one shell.

HB1.pk4 - Hyperblaster - Alt fire.
Primary - 14 damage, 1500 velocity.
Secondary - 28 damage, 3000 velocity.
Upgrade - blaster bolts keep bouncing until their fuse runs out (about 6 secs.).

GL1.pk4 - Alt fire Grenade Launcher.
Primary fire - fires the standard grenade.
Secondary fire - a grenade will be launched at twice the velocity of the standard grenade and will explode on contact.

GL2.pk4 - Alt fire w/sticky grenade.
Primary fire - fires a sticky grenade which sticks to whatever it hits except ceilings. It detonates by fuse or by hitting a monster.
Secondary fire - a grenade will be launched at twice the velocity of the standard grenade and will explode on contact.

RL1.pk4 - Alt fire.
Primary fire - 150 direct damage, regular splash damage, 600 velocity.
Secondary fire - ram load, 200 direct damage, no splash damage, 1200 velocity.
Upgrade - homing does not work, instead rocket velocities have been doubled.

Monsters *******************************

Monster1.pk4 - corpses stay one minute.

All the following monsters have doubled damage and projectile velocities.

Squib1.pk4 - strogg marines, no more eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuaaa sound.
Grunt1.pk4
Berserk.pk4
Gunner1.pk4
Maiden1.pk4 - now disappears for a longer time.

Misc ***********************************

Kane1.pk4 - Gold medal.
Player has double movement speed, jumping height and ammo carrying capacity. Falling damage has been halved.

Marine1.pk4 - Redshirts.
Marines have half health, no health regeneration and very little attack capability. On the plus side they drop their weapons when killed.

Ammo1.pk4 - Short supply.
Ammo from pickups has been halved.

Items1.pk4 - Short supply.
Health from pickups has been halved.
