We're very much looking forward to the Resident Evil 2 remake here at GameFront, and so any news dropping of what we can expect to see in the game, scheduled for release in January next year, certainly gets our attention, but non quite in the same way as this recent reveal via the official Resident Evil Twitter...
….yes that's right, it's the return of the Licker. Not a particularly nice enemy in the original Resi 2 I grant you, but in this particular screenshot it's, well, bloody terrifying.
And I think this is why I'm most excited. These new, modern graphics available today will hopefully make the atmosphere more immersive and engaging than ever before. There was something a little, well, ropy about the original CGI cutscenes, looking back on them now.
You can really see the detail on the character here, making it scarier than ever before, and while the overall design aesthetic is similar, the exposed bone, muscles and general ugliness of this beast is something to behold.
So here's a few more screenshots just to help you sleep at night. Stay tuned to GameFront for more on Resi 2 Remake as it happens.
