Intel (R) Corporation is creating the UK's greatest professional gaming event ever. This December the Science Museum will host the "Intel Masters Gaming Championships" where the UK's best clans will battle it out to be recognised as the UK's number one clan and for a share of the £25,000 prize purse. The tournament will take place in the IMAX Cinema at the Science Museum where gaming fans will be able to watch your performance on a screen 140ft wide. Intel is inviting the top "Return to Castle Wolfenstein", "CounterStrike" and "Warcraft 3" clans to compete in this tournament. Only eight clans have been chosen in each discipline. Based on your previous clan performance your clan is invited for the Return to Castle Wolfenstein tournament. Please confirm by Friday 25th October that your clan will be able to field a full team and be available to travel to London on 21st December 2002. Unfortunately no player under the age of fifteen will be allowed take part in the tournament. Could you also send us a full team listing including player names, aliases, ages and real life professions; a clan biography, IRC channel details, web site details. Please also provide contact details of the clan leader including address, email address and telephone number by the same date. Welcome to the Intel Masters Gaming Championships.
I know this news is a little late if you are thinking about requesting your clan to participate in this event. But I thought it was interesting to find out that this could be the greatest gaming event ever. And I expecially thought the IMAX idea ROCKED!!! Also the £25,000 (Which I believe is $38,767.50, correct me if I'm wrong) is a nice prize for anyone to play for. I will keep you'll posted on this event.
