Map:
mp_refinery (Final Release)

By:
TK1-SA (a.k.a LtColSteiner)

Introduction:
This is my first map that I have actually released. There have been other maps that I was working on, but they never were finished. This one started when I was working on a different map, I got bored, played some other WW2 games and then got my inspiration from one of those games. To be exact, this is like the oil refinery in the game "Hidden and Dangerous".
You'll notice that there is some resemblence, but it ends at the two big buildings on the right, the Axis spawn or Loading Bay and the 4 fuel tanks. Since this is a RTCW map, I had to change the layout a lot, like adding the warehouse, extending the railway track, the railway crane and adding the "barracks". You'll discover that most of the vehicles in the map move around by themselves (ie. the truck, the warehouse crane, loading bay crane and railway cars and the railway crane). Oddly, the railway cars are self-propelled since they lack an engine to push/pull them around. Oops.
This map is designed with lots of open space and the warehouse is the only location where close-quarters combat can really take place. I hope this map doesn't lag a lot; I checked myself and it seems ok. Have fun! If you don't, I could care less. I made this map in like 5 weeks.

Objectives:
1) Capture Warehouse
2) Capture Barracks Compound
3) Capture Fuel Storage Tanks
4) Capture Railway Power Controls (need engineer)
5) Capture Processing Facilities Entrance (need engineer)
6) Capture Loading Bay

Installation:
*Before installing this map, please remove any previous releases of this map.*
Unzip and place the mp_refinery.pk3 into your main RTCW directory (ie. "C:\RTCW\main")

Special Thanks: (in no special order)
* <TK1>DasUberSoldat for furnishing the inside of the "Kommandant's House". Pretty much everything you see in there (except the placement of the Allied spawn points, ammo and music) was created by him.
* The <TK1> clan (http://www.tankkillers.com) for putting up with my absense while I was working on my map and for helping me work out some bugs in the map.
* Splash Damage Forums (http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/index.php) and those who answered my questions there.
* Surface Mapping (http://www.wolfensteinx.com/surface) for its excellent tutorials and other mapping resources.

Known Bugs:
1) The texture job in the sewers isn't very nice.
2) The clipping around the truck isn't very exact, so if you try aiming at someone and you're right up close to the edges of the truck, the shots will actually hit the truck clipping, even though you can see what you are aiming at.
3) Don't play around in front of moving objects, otherwise you may get stuck and will have to free yourself or get crushed
4) If you get "stuck" in the latrines when spawning as Allies, don't fret. Do what you'd normally do if you were on the toilet. (HINT: hit the duck or crouch key)
5) I didn't do a very good job on the background of the map, it looks very plain with just a simple forest scenary.
6) There are times when it is perfectly clear that you could jump out of the map, (ie. walking on the concrete fence, get on top of the train and jump out) but you can't. You're trapped in the map, whether you like it or not.

Copyright:
Well, I made this thing completely from scratch. I did put many hours of work on it, so please don't copy it, add another truck or something and claim it to be yours. However, if you are interested in helping me work on a second or special edition of this map, you can contact me through the <TK1> website/forums at http://www.tankkillers.com/forums
