BARD version 1.4.
SOF2MP: BARD is short for “Soldier Of Fortune 2 Multiplayer: Bots And Realistic Damage. The original aim of SOF2MP: BARD was to add an integrated realistic damage mode to the standard SOF2 multiplayer, as well as bots, whilst making minimal changes to the code. Since the 1.1, BARD has expanded beyond just Realistic Damage and bots. While a lot of changes have been made, BARD still strives to allow server admins/hosts to turn 95% of the new features off - allowing you to change only the things you want.
BARD strives to pack in as many of your favorite requested features, leave out the crap you don't want, let you enable only the features that you want, and still remain under 5 megabytes. No flashy gimmicks, no stupid catchphrases, no false advertising.
For the foreseeable future, this will most likely be the final version of BARD. Thanks for all of the support and kind words over the last two years.
Some of the updates/Changes in ver 1.4:
- g_realisticDamage 3 Gives the ability to load a custom .WPN file for custom real damage files Edit the mp_damage values in the ext_data/sof2custom.wpn file - g_respawnWaveDelay defaulted from 90 to 60 seconds - g_profanityCheck default set to 0 - Intermission waits 10 seconds minimum instead of 5 seconds - Changed default forcerespawn from 20 to 5, 20 allowed a dead player to stay dead on the ground watching his enemies moving around for way too long - Kick/recoil on MP5 secondary increased slightly - g_botsReady set to 1 by default - g_profanityCheck set to 0 by default - Warmup message changed from "map restarts in" to "warmup over in" - g_noFallingDamage renamed to g_fallingDamage The old cvar name was too confusing. (Default 1 for on) - Molotov Cocktails reduced from 2 to 1, damage also slightly reduced
