============================================================ Title : Log Viewer Description : Viewer for SOF2 log files Release Date : July 5, 2003 Version : 1.3 Filename : LogView.exe Author : Daniel Osadchy (RTW*Buu) Website : www.rtwclan.com Email : email@example.com ============================================================ * Features * 1. The log display is syntax-colored, including interpretation of SOF2 color codes and team colors in team based games. 2. Doubleclicking on a player's name opens a dialog box with that player's info (name, IP, GUID). Also all the player aliases (from that log) are displayed. You can copy & paste portions of the log. If the destination supports HTML format (like MsWord or web forum), then the copy/paste preserves all colors. 5. The log can be scanned into a database (Tools/Database update - menu). The database can be checked for player's aliases (see paragraph 3). Also it can be viewed with Microsoft Access for custom queries. 6. The log can be searched in a usual manner or with Regular Expressions. Regular Expressions is a very powerfull search method. (PDF manual for regular expressions is included) ============================================================ * Installation * Unzip this file in any directory you like If you want to use the ban/unban or database features, you should edit the 'logview.cfg' file: Add a [server] block for each server, like in the example. Then you will be able to ban/unban players directly from the log viewer (just doubleckick on player's name to open a dialog box). Edit the [Database] block to set the path of your database file. An empty database file is included (players.mdb). You can put it anywhere you like, just put the correct path in the [Database] block in the 'logview.cfg'. The database file can be viewed with Microsoft Access. ============================================================ *Special Thanks* RTW clan for the many hours of enjoyment. www.sof2files.com For the great work they do for the community ReadMe template created by Black_Ice@sof2files.com ============================================================ * Permissions* You MAY distribute this ZIP in any not-for-profit electronic format (BBS, Internet, CD, etc) as long as you contact me first, and include all files, including this readme, intact in the original archive. ============================================================ * Warning - Must Read and Understand Before Use* The author of this file accepts no responsibility for damage to data, or physical damage to hardware, caused by the appropriate or inappropriate use of this file.
