This is a unique map, like the centre of a big city with extremely tall buildings. Great fun on the floor or way up high on the buliding roofs. Awsome map by Warlord :)
Vertigo: ----------------- Version: Release By Warlord e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org Game Types Supported DM TDM CTF ELM INF Build Time: 30+ hours Suggested Players: 6 or more Inspiration: This map was inspired by TB_HIGH_WIRE. That map has been one of our groups all time favorite SOFII maps and we have played it for hours. We got to talking about some changes we would like made to the map so I started out to modify the original design a bit and VERTIGO was born. As Emeril likes to say, I kicked it up a notch. This is a HIGH map and looking over the edge of the roof on the higher buildings can really bring on the sensation of vertigo hince the name. For you cliff divers out there, try jumping face first off the higher buldings. Its a long way down and quite a ride! This is primarily a sniper map and you will find sniper rifles all over the place when you go high. If you choose you can frag everyone in site at street level with pistols, knives and shotguns.I left out all the explosive weapons to make this more a game of skill. Although I put some detail in the map it is designed primarily to play and not to look at. I tried to give the illusion of much more detail than is really there. It is meant to be kind of a dark map so I would suggest taking the brightness down a bit and letting the natural lighting of the map come out. This map and a few SOF1 conversion projects have given me a needed break from my second edition StarGate map that will get finished soon. I needed to get away from that one for a while and get a fresh perspective. Hope you enjoy this one. If you are a sniper fan this one should be a lot of fun. If the map stirs up enough interest I probably will go back and convert it so it can be played with Man Down Mod. Special thanks to the BRIGZY, creator of the TB_HIGH_WIRE map that inspired VERTIGO. You have given our group untold hours of enjoyment. Installation: Unzip the vertigo.pk3 to the SOFII/base directory. ------------------------------------------
