Raven Software is no stranger to the first-person shooter. Heretic, and later Hexen and Hexen II were all decent games, and while the engines were a bit dated the gameplay was good. This can also be applied to their newest FPS, Soldier of Fortune. The premise is this: You are John Mullins, a mercenary for hire. Jobs come through a bookstore, which is a front for the cache of weapons and cool computer stuff in the back. From your secret lair, you are given your assignments through… e-mail.
