Xantaro has hex-hacked Raven's original JPNCTF1 map for SOF1.
Ever since the 1.06 Goldpatch, where the shotgun became much more powerfull, this map has suffered an unbalance! There have been hacks before, but never perfect ones :love:
There are two version in this PAK file:
JPNTCLS: This map has TWO shotguns (the SMG is replaced with a shotgun) and both bases have two boxes of shotgun armour at the top of the stairs of each base. Power weapons have been removed, with both instances of the heavy machince gun and the machine pistol now symmetrical on both sides of the map, with the corresponding ammo following suit. The bug concerning the magnum in the red base is fixed, and the weapon is now fully visible.
JPNTCLX: This map is the same as the above, but, in my opinion, the fairest version. In place of the two heavy machine guns in the 'dark rooms' (out of your base up the stairs, right, short corridor, into a dark room which turns a corner) are two further shotguns, making FOUR in total. This means that when an opposing team is 'camping' your shotgun in the narrow corridor, you have the option of leaving the base up the stairs immediately after you spawn, and following the corridor round to the other shotgun.
One of these version will be used in the new season of the Total Carnage League!
