========================================= Crappy Laser Pointer Mod v1.0 (by Cleesh) =========================================

Ok... This "mod" transforms your flashlight into a concentrated low angle beam of red light, effectively, or less effectively simulating a laser pointer. Since this merely changes the settings of the flashlight, you won't be able to use the conventional flashlight anymore. Get a suit with good night vision. See the screenshots for results. Also, the flashlight isn't quite centered so the dot is a little off to seemingly random direction. You should see by now why I call this crappy. But hey... I guarantee at least 5 minutes of fun. This is best used with crosshair turned off and at night. Seriously... True Stalker doesn't need a crosshair =P. Actually, haven't tried this at daytime.. yet. Very limited testing has been done anyway. I tried this briefly with 1.0004 patch and Oblivion Lost mod installed. I suppose this should work with any mod or version as long as they don't touch the "light_night.ltx" file, in other words flashlight settings. Install this mod / make the modifications to light_night.ltx file at your own risk.

Install this mod / make the modifications to light_night.ltx file at your own risk.

==============
How to install
==============

1. Make a backup copy of this file (in your Stalker installation directory):
gamedataconfigmodelsobjectslight_night.ltx

2. Replace it with the attached light_night.ltx file (extract first with Winzip or Winrar or similar program)

3. That's it!

=============================================
How to configure the light settings yourself!
=============================================

Open the light_night.ltx with Notepad or similar common text editor and change the numbers to something else.
Here's some explanation about the values. *Warning* This is mostly just pure guessing on my part.

range = The range that the light will carry 100%. Probably.
range_r2 = The range at which the light starts dimming out gradually or at which it has dimmed out completely. I think.
color = Red/green/blue value of the light, in other words, this determines the color of the beam. Not sure about the 4th value... brightness maybe?
color_r2 = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation
omni_range = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation
omni_range_r2 = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation
omni_color = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation
omni_color_r2 = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation
color_animator = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation
spot_texture = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation
spot_angle = Directly controls the angle of the beam. Better use values below 1 for that thin beam. Vanilla flashlight uses a value around 60. I think.
glow_texture = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation
glow_radius = This is the size of the light sphere on someone's, or your's, helmet. You know, when you look at a character at night who has a flashlight turned on. Better keep this around 0.5 unless you want every character to resemble a huge lightbulb with two feet and a gun.
guide_bone = No idea / unable to produce coherent explanation

Also, this seems to replace everyone's flashlights so if you see those red dots dancing around you...
Oh.. and sorry about screenshots 3 and 4. Looks like Stalker doesn't remember the brightness/contrast adjustments. Crank up brightness on your monitor or graphics settings to see those pictures better, if necessary.

Blahblah:
You may use this mod in any way you see fit, except for getting financial gain. If you want to include the modifications I made into another mod, you may do so, as long as credit is given to me... Just kidding. You don't have to give any credit to me if you don't feel like it. I don't really care. Have fun!
