File Description

This mod makes many minor changes to the game of STALKER.

WEAPONS • The damage is function of the bullet and, to a lesser degree, of the barrel’s length. • The accuracy has been increased: now shoot and miss a close target is a rare thing indeed. • The recoil has been lowered, because clasp a mouse is not clasp a gun. • The weapons are now more expensive. • The silenced weapons are now very silenced. • The Walther P99 has been replaced with the Glock 18C. • The Beretta 92FS has been replaced with Beretta 93R. • The SPAS-12 now can shoot in self-loading semi-automatic mode, that is: automatic mode with low fire-rate (compared with the fire rate of an assault rifle…). • All the weapons have the right names. • The custom weapons have been totally renewed. Now they are more “limited production weapons” rather than “custom”. • Almost all the weapons (except the shotguns & sniper rifles) can mount a silencer. • All the assault rifles can mount a sight, if not already present. • Almost all the assault rifles can mount a grenade launcher, if not already present. • The following weapons (in any version) are equipped with a 1.5x red dot: AK-74U, Beretta 93R, Desert Eagle, Fort-12, MP5, SPAS-12, USP, Glock 18C. • Increased the velocity of all the rifle-launched grenades.

ARMORS • The armors now loose their capabilities only if hit by area-effect damages, like fire, electricity, chemical brothers (?!) and explosions. • The same for the custom armors. • The high-end armors now are equipped with high-end image intensifier.

AMMO • The standard ammo of the handguns (9x19mm, 9x18mm and .45) now are weightless. • The ammo now have a lower cost: more 9x39mm for us all!

SELLERS • The trader and the barman now sell all the kind of ammo and all the add-ons. • The barman sells all the standard and custom weapons, but not the gauss; he sells also a fairly wide number of armors. • The trader sells a fairly wide number of weapons, but not the gauss; he sells also a limited number of armors.

ARTIFACTS • Their negative effects have been changed, but not removed.

LIGHT • The light has now a grater range and a blue hue.

This mod is neither a total conversion, nor it changes much of the gameplay: it is a simple "collection" of our minor modifications aimed to improve many faulty issues of S.t.a.l.k.e.r.

The full list of changes is summarized below:

KNOWN BUGS
•	The red dot is visible only in aimed-mode fire, not in the model itself.
•	The accuracy of the Glock 18C is like the accuracy of the others handguns: the statistics doesn’t reflect the truth.  Empirically: the real accuracy is 1/3 of the accuracy shown.
•	The accuracy of the Beretta 93R is like the accuracy of the others handguns: the statistics doesn’t reflect the truth.  Empirically: the real accuracy is 1/3 of the accuracy shown.



COMPATIBILITY
The mod was extensively tested with the patch 1.0003, and with the 1.0001, but to a lesser degree.



INSTALLATION
Drag and drop the “Gamedata” folder from the archive into you main Stalker directory.
Moreover, if you haven’t use before a mod, then make sure to change the second line of the file fsgame.ltx from this…
$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\
… To this:
$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\

Since we haven't added textures etc., you can use your own models, if you like it, but it is highly probable that our mod will overwrite the .ltx files of other mods, thus it would be wise to install it on a fresh game...
