Janeway not only rammed her ship, and destroyed the one opposing it, but also managed to change the entire course of history while doing so.
Voyager = Win
What about the Jem'hadar ramming and destroying the Galaxy class USS Odyssey in DS9 "The Jem'hadar"?
I think that was the best.
The Jem'hadar ramming the Odyssey was probably the most intense, because it was the first time we saw that, and seeing a galaxy class (ALMOST invincible up til that point in TNG & all of Trekdom) destroyed, but big picture-wise, hands down Janeway ramming the time ship. Like jamesamey said, changing history. 200+ of the timeship's, and all of history if you think that the targets were completely erased.
Wow, why has Picard's ramming the Scimitar shot up? If I remember all it did was stall and make them use the Thalaron weapon on them instead. I voted for Janeway ramming the Krenim Timeship because like the people above me said, it actually did something and changed all of history at the same time.
The Jem'hadar ramming the USS Odyssey.
Gents by now you should have realised that I always always forget at least one option in the polls lol
Canon: Jem'Hadar ramming the USS Odyssey.
Non-Canon: The USS Ranger ramming a Borg Cube over Khitomer. (ST Destiny: Gods of NIght).
Wouldn't ramming a cube be kinda pointless given their immense size and the decentralization of all major subsytems?
I went for the "T'pol manuver".
Why? Because the fact remains that while yes, she slowed the ship down considerably, This was the only of the above that left the ship entact enought to continue on. This is, to Quote Commodore Rotherhood, "An automatic Failing Grade".
The overall failiure, leading to the destruction of earth in that timeline was more likely T'pols unvillingness to act somewhat out of moral.
Considering that Chakotay never returned one Shutttle to Voyager (please correct me) I rather think he rammed that Kazon by accident
#10: Not to my knowlege he did'n.
I think T'Pol's one was pretty good - Xindi ship attached to Enterprise, MACOs getting pummeled by boarding Xindi and she rams the other xindi ship with the attached Xindi ship - great manoeuvre
I voted for "Other (please state)"
My favourite rammin scene is the one where a Jem'Hadar fighter rams the USS Odyssey (Deep Space Nine seasion 2 finale "The Jem'Hadar")
I voted for Picard's ramming the Scimitar (Star trek Nemesis) but there is also one thing. An "almost ramming" - Worf and the Defiant in First Contact.
has to be nemesis it was stuck out of the other ship and they did use it to good effect
scimitar all the way even though that movie was released back on 02 those speciall effects are still awesome
i think the Jem'hadr flying into the klingons in "tears of the prophets" because it just looked so cool lol
ever since i saw that AND the incident with the Odyssey, ive always tried to ram into people on Bridge Commander online, of course it kills me, doesnt do anything to them :( still fun though lol
Part 1 & 2 of Voyager Year Of Hell are my favorite episodes.
Jem'hadar all the way!
Seriously, you cant outdo their kamikaze runs on the klingons, slicing up the vor'cha class ships from bow to stern.
So much for "decentralization of major subsytems" :D
everyone likes to see t'pol ramming
The Ranger used a phasing devic (moleculor phase invertor to phase itself through the borg shields and detonated its entire payload of quantum torpedoes and antimatter supply upon impact.
@21- ya that was a creative plan, turning the whole ship into a transphasic torpedo. To bad they got rid of the borg in that trilogy, It messes with so many fan's timelines.
thats why novels are so good, they aren't canon so there is room for more creative writing
Borg ramming the Bioship(Scorpion) nice!
You left out Diana Troi ramming Veridian 3 in Generations :D
Nah thats just what happens when you have a woman driving
I voted for the Enterprise ramming the Scimitar but there is a good scene in DS9 The Die is Cast when the Defiant rams it's way through an exploding Jem'Hadar fighter.
Thats not a ram tactic..thats the "we're gonna get pretty singed" tactic..ramming is the deliberate collision
