It's hard to say which one was the best. There were many good one, such as Voyager on the Ice planet, or the Enterprise failing into orbit. In my opinion the Generations-part is the best though.

yeah that was the one with the Romulans and Picard and Data travelling slowly through time.. I simply could not include all of them like the ones that were mentioned too (Defiant in Children of Time) cos too many poll options are irritating to read so just use the other and specify ;) as you did :)

I remember watching 1701 die in ST3 when it FIRST came out on the big screen, the feeling of having lost the most iconic vessel in history (even if it was just a model) was to me a jaw-dropping moment. I mean the very ideal of destroying the original Enterprise WTFrack is that?? I dont see Lucas blowin up the Falcon, and as far as the 1701-D goes THAT WAS LAME! First off: sheilds auto rotate after a breech. then ,no one ejected the core, why they never even mentioned that at all during that poorly written crap movie. UMMMM... sorry for the rant, I probly sound as if I dont have a life. I just feel the loss of the 1701-D was a cheap shot at killing off the last of Roddenberry's creation.

Janeway was killed 8 times during Voyager, in alternate timelines, and Voyager was destroyed 5 times ;)

The Ncc-1701. Only 3 of the options became part of the Trek Timeline. As was said above the Loss of the D in Generations was poorly written, and for another everyone knew they were making an E. When the 1701 was destroyed it's like what's going to happen now atleast to start, and it's the Original Enterprise, the A never reached the iconic status of the Ncc-1701. You know Scotty loved the Ncc-1701 not the Ncc-1701A. Not that I don't prefer the D to the E. The Defiant's destruction.... well it was real, but the Defiant was known to be replaceable and it's DS9 that's the star of that show.

While 'Cause and Effect' was by far my favorite TNG episode (hence my screenname), Voyager ramming the timeship won my vote for sheer awesome.

@11, how can a ship hitting a planet be poorly written? script: "ship loses impulse data: shit "ship hits the deck bang..

#14 - Posted by: muldrf (Member) on 03-21-2009 at 20:01
Not the ship hitting the planet. The fact that the best crew and the flagship of the Federation fleet would fall to a retired Bird of Prey. That they used remodulated shields to help defend against the Borg, but were unable to realize that was all they needed to do to stop the weapons from getting past. All they cared to do was destroy the D so they could have a new ship for the next movie.

voyager hiting the Krenim ship and exploding in spectacular style, the year of hell 2 parter was in my opinion the best alternate timeline episode that has ever been made, but then again im biast as i only really watch voyager.

The Year of Hell is not an alternate timeline episode :P It's the normal timeline but Janeway just changed it all by ramming the Krenim Timeship. I would say. Voyager ramming the Krenim ship and Voyager skiing on the ice planet :P

@14 would have been better if a swarm of duras' factions' ships attacked :P

Where oh where does it say anything about Alternate Timelines in this poll? We had that poll about timelines a few weeks back
