A Captain had just gone to bed. Suddenly something struck his ship. The hallway was damaged and it was on red alert. He went outside to the bridge the turbo lift started to degrade so fast that the lift slows down. Eventually the door opens but in front of him was a red sun with four planets. His ship was struck by Warp dampening pulse. Then he went to the bridge and saw the nightmare. This map is dark, no directional light. The sun is the only light source. I wanted to make a hell of a nightmare - I got this inspiration during my sleep! Enjoy!!
Map elements: The map contains, as the author describes, no directional light sources, but it is illuminated by the system's sun. In orbit of that sun are 4 planets, all of which are inhospitable. The fact that the system is dark, gloomy and devoid of life all leads to the reasoning behind naming this the ‘Nightmare map’ - it’s relatively simple in design but fulfils the 4-player death matches requirements quite well.
The map contains no stations or starships for you to run in to so the only objects you've got to worry about are your opponents which does mean that there is little exploration value to this map :( - It's going to be fun for you to have a few skirmishes on here but it's not something which is going to make you keep coming back for more!
