Another mod from tj_hawk, this time it's a weapon - the Quantum Phaser

Weapon Background By 2394 the Starfleet begins to replace most of their phaser arrays on most of their next generation starships to stand a better chance against their enemies. The Starfleet Engineering Corps developed Quantum Phasers. Almost equal to the power of Quantum Torpedoes, they deliver an devestating blow. After a test run on then 23rd battle group stationed in the Delta Quadrant, tests have shown the phasers were more effective against an Borg Tactical Cube, than the phasers installed on Voyager. Though they would greatly overpower older ships, they are a great asset to the new generation of ships.

I came up for the idea for the Quantum Phasers a few months ago after I teamed up with acidfluxxbass when we released a pack for the Aromured Ships he made. But after I made them, the only downside had to be that they still had the TOS phaser soundsets if you were playing any of the conversion mods. So i managed to change it the sound sets to TNG so they'd be a bit more cannon.

Overall it's actually a cool little nugget of a mod, I like the idea and the execution is done well. Even though there are no screenshots you should definitely check this out.

1. Place ODF files in the folder ODF/weapons/phasers

If you like to do it on your own follow this simple tutorial:

in the phaser folder, under the ODF file, open up
a file like:

"fed_ent_phaser_1beam.odf"

At the top you'll notice the following:

//Name of the ODF file for the ordinance for this weapon
ordName = "fed_phaser_ent_med_ord"
-----------------------------------------------------------

in fed_phaser_main_lvl1, there's a script that'll look
something like this:

//Sound which is played when the weapon fires
fireSoundGroup = "ST_GRP_FED_Phaser_Blast_1"
loopFireSoundGroup = "ST_GRP_FED_Phaser_Loop_1"

The number at the end of the sound file determines the era
soundset:

1 - Ent
2 - TOS
3 - TNG

WARNING:

MAKE SURE WHEN MAKING YOUR OWN PHASERS THAT YOU MAKE
THE CHANGES TO THE PHASER ORDINANCE AND PHASER MAIN IN
THE PHASER FILE:

#include "fed_phaser_main_lvl1.odf"

//Name of the ODF file for the ordinance for this weapon
ordName = "fed_phaser_ent_med_ord"

OR YOUR MOD OR IT WILL NOT WORK...

[Bugs/Problems]

THis mod works with all conversions:

Stock
Trek Battles 2
Keys Of Legacy
Aftermath
Ultimate Universe
Legendary Generations

However, if you should find a problem with this mod during gameplay, 
I strongly urge you to contact me right away so I can find a solution
right away. But I am not responsible if you computer does the following:

---------------------------------------------------
-Crashes (and you get that access violation thingy)
-Operates slower than normal
-Personal settings reset
-Act of God (which i seriously doubt will happen lol)
-Damaging of Software or Hardware.
-Is destroyed by friends, family, or 4-legged animals (I.E. your pets!!)
---------------------------------------------------

I am responsible however, if there is a minor problem with the mod that myself will
fix it at the first chanace I get.
