We've not seen a lot from nEw-GEN lately, but brought to you here today is a second, improved Sabre class.

The Sabre class always shines as a prime example of 24th century brilliance, it's a real trooper in my eyes - it labours in the background providing cover fire never stealing the lime-light. I always like to see a new adaptation of the original design and in this case, that original design is held but improved upon using some stunning textures and other graphical elements.

The second version of the Sabre class includes following features/changes:

- Registries - fixed Smoothing - Canon Hardpointing/Weapons - Damage Mesh - Bumpmaps - Specmaps - Glowmaps - Alpha Channel

Sabre historical-Design-Background:

The Sabre class of Federation starship was first introduced in the late 24th century, and was in full service by 2373. The ship featured a design more compact than other Starfleet vessels, and was fairly well armed despite its small size; the class has featured prominently in the Battle of Sector 001 against the Borg and in the Dominion War. --- Quoted from Memory Alpha
