The Scorpion class fighter were small attack vessels designed by romulans but first seen on the Reman warbird Scimitar in Star trek Nemesis.The reman scorpion fighter was also said to be in service during the dominion war as in David Mack's "Twilight's Wrath".Although the reman fighter lacks the power to be a serious threat to a full size starship,it's numbers,disrupters,speed and agressive reman piolots makes it dangerous enough to any one starship.

Here is a brilliant little mod brought to you by Shadowbuilder and Chris Luskey of the newgen mod team. This time legacy see's the introduction of the Skorpion Class Attack Flyer. When first looking at the screen shots i thought this would be a feeble little thing. But as it turns out having a small squad of these to attack a large cruiser isnt such a bad idea. The mesh itself is fairly good, this attempt see's only a few triangles on the nose out of position. The textures and lighting is simple yet effective and the thing i love most about this ship, the weapon hardpoint for the disruptor beam, is in the right place.

In combat this little hellian runs circles round battleships and similarly sized vessels, and its shields help it to take a fair beating, especially from pulse phasers, but because you are travelling so fast it wont really matter.

Upgrading this ship is wise, giving it that much more of a punch in battle. However if you have a dozen of these on your team, (by having more than a couple of AI players on your side) then the term "strength in numbers" definatly applies.

A great addon. One I gather we may see improvements on in the future.
