This is the second release of the Section 31 Miranda by Ganondorf2002.
The download replaces the Legacy TOS era Miranda with the Section 31 variant, which may be to some users preference. However, it is a good replacement! The Miranda class is very nippy with a good complement of weapons - phasers on the fore and aft of the vessel and forward torpedo launchers accompanied by a single launcher on the aft of the vessel. My only nag about the weapons is that the enemy (whatever it may be) always seems to have you (the player) in range of their weapons before the Miranda can ever lock on, this is a heavy disadvantage to the player, therefore I suggest dropping out of warp close to the enemy. Having said that, the vessel is fast enough to manoeuvre out of the weapon arcs of the enemy vessel. If the vessel is hit by enemy weapons fire the shields will rapidly decline, but not so quickly that you can't get out of harm’s way and regenerate - the shield recharge rate is actually pretty fair so it won't be long until you're engaging again.
I tested the Section 31 Miranda in both 1 on 1 combat and a 4-ship fleet, I found it to be most effective when combined with more than one of them, but 1 on 1 proved a little difficult to stay alive in!
Overall, a good improvement made upon version 1 and the ship is well balanced for its class and era.
