Have you ever thought that the command point cost for each of the ships in Legacy was a little bit random? The author of this file certainly does and has rounded each ship cost off to the the nearest thousand, the examples he uses are as follows:

Nova 8000 Miranda Refit 9000 Norway 9000 Steamrunner 10000

Included in this download are a few extra tweaks to Legacy gameplay, these are detailed below:

All torpedoes now do more damage to shields than what they did in the stock game, so you can now use a quick torpedo salvo to take out your enemies shields during combat.

The Romulan torpedoes now look like plasma torpedoes instead of regular green torpedoes.

The Borg torpedoes now look like gravimetric torpedoes (as seen in voyager) instead of looking like plasmas.

(to accomplish #2 and #3 I just swapped the Romulan and Borg torps)

Federation Apollo and Apollo-Refit changed to Akula and Akula-Refit.

Federation Akula changed to Apollo.

Federation Akula-Refit, Constitution-Refit and Excelsior now no longer available in TNG era.

Klingon K'tinga now available in TNG era and not TOS.

Romulan ships switched around a bit to make even ammounts of ships in all 3 eras.

All ships torpedo launchers arrangement have been modified to be more cannon and more balanced. The amount of torpedo launchers on a ship is now proportional to the cost and the era of the ship (TNG era has more torps on their ships than TOS, which has more than ENT). In the stock game the Poseidon class had more launchers than a Sovereign Class which didn't make sense to me, so now it's different.

The extra tweaks may not to be everybody's taste but overall it balances the game out pretty well and for a first mod, the quantity of scripting included in just this one small file is quite simply astounding - someone's been doing their homework, bravo :rock: I look forward to future releases!

Star Trek Legacy: Ship Cost Mod

Installation:

   1.	Copy all of the files in the included "Ship ODF's" folder and paste them
	in your "\Bethesda Softworks\Star Trek Legacy\odf\ships" directory.

   2.	Copy the 2 files in the included "Phaser ODF's" folder and paste them in 
	your "\Bethesda Softworks\Star Trek Legacy\odf\weapons\phasers" directory.

   3.	Copy the included "config" file and paste it in your 
	"\Bethesda Softworks\Star Trek Legacy" directory.

--NOTE--
Following the steps above will overwrite many of the files in your game so that
they can conform to the improvements in my mod. Backup all of the files if you
want to, i don't take responsibility for any mistakes you may have made while 
installing this (but there shouldn't be any).

DESCRIPTION
===========

The Ship Cost Mod enhances the overall STL gameplay experience. It rounds off
the command point cost of all ships to an even 1000 and every ship in the four
races goes up (generaly) by the thousand instead of random numbers like 11600
for the Nebula class in the stock game!

Here is an example of the Federation TNG era.

Nova		8000
Miranda Refit	9000
Norway		9000
Steamrunner	10000
Centaur		10500
Constellation	11000
Defiant		11000
Intrepid	12000
Excelsior Refit	13000
Ambassador	14000
Akira		15000
Nebula		16000
Galaxy		17000
Sovereign	18000

Some ships are rounded to the 500 mark like the Centaur, but they mostly follow
the increase of 1000.

There are many other tweaks included in this mod to greatly improve the game, 
thy include...

Althogh this mod can work with any version of the game, it works best with Pizi's 
Command points mod where you can directly choose from 1000 to 70000 CP's. Any 
other mod (Like the Aftermath) that gives you a wider variety of CP choices works 
good too!
