Description

Oh my, I loved the predecessor, now there's version 2, we're so spoilt!

The Victory class looks like a kitbash of the Sovereign class and Excalibr class, featuring a striking design but lacking the defensive and offensive capabilities of the Excalibur. It's not a ship to be messed with as it does have effective shielding and is armed with both photon and quantum torpedoes (and of course, phasers, standard!). Originally the Victory class started out in Bridge Commander (Queball) and was then ported to Legacy by Newgen's gdata (almost this time last year!) - it has now been updated by Newgen's Yopyop to include the following improvements, changes and some new additions:

- fixed Smoothing - added Blinkers - completely new Textures (v1.0 = 512x512; v2.0 = 2048x2048) - improved Specular and Bump Maps - improved odf and hardpointing

YopYop describes the Victory class as:

The Ship is well balanced for her scale, nice manoeuvrability and good attack speed on high impulse. She's the Sovereign's sister-ship after all. :)

We say never judge a book by its cover but in this case, the file size is reasonably large for a single ship, thus showing the sort of standard of texturing which has taken place here. I personally love both the original greyness of version 1.0 but this version is much improved, it features 'warmer' textures and generally is an overall improvement; ideally should be used to replace your original Victory class!
