File Description

Well, if you remember the FIRST Capital Down mappack, you'll remember it was good, but didnt have lots of troops. Well, DarthDaddy has changed that.

"I fixed the biggest complaint about each map, which was that there were not enough units. Now each side has 150 units on the field at once! I wish that I had figured out how to do this earlier on. Talk about an improvement!

I made minor changes to the terrain and CP positioning in some of the maps, providing more cover and realism. In CD3, I also added foliage to the terrain.

I changed the sky for CD1 and CD2 to add realism and I also added an in-game map feature in all four maps for better navigation.

The sound is much improved in all 4 maps, with only some of the flyer weapons missing and with the unit and hero sounds now added.

The only thing that some of you will not like is that I removed the eras that did not fit the maps. I removed Galactic Civil War era mode from both CD1 and CD2. I also removed Clone Wars era mode from both CD3 and CD4. I hated to do it, but it made fixing some of the bugs that much easier. It also made the story for each map much more believable. Sorry!

All four maps are now much more balanced and stable. Overall, each map now feels more like a massive battlefield than before."

Overall, this is great! Plan to see the updated Capital Strike soon! ~Valiantofficer

STARWARS BATTLEFRONT II Map Pack

Capital Down Series (Version 2.0)

Changes & Updates:

I fixed the biggest complaint about each map, which was that there were not enough units. Now each side has 150 units on the field at once! I wish that I had figured out how to do this earlier on. Talk about an improvement!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Capital Down 2 - The Story:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Capital Down 3 - The Story:

Galactic Civil War – The Empire has shot down a Mon Calamari cruiser on a remote, mountainous planet in the Outer Rim territories. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Capital Down 4 - The Story:

Galactic Civil War – The Alliance has won a victory against the Empire in a skirmish over Tatooine. The Alliance Fleet caught a single Star Destroyer off-guard in-system and attacked their outnumbered opponent. When the Star Destroyer's shields failed, it made a desperate attempt to reach the planet surface. The mortally wounded Star Destroyer made a crash landing in the desert wastes of Tatooine near a small civilian settlement. The Alliance is landing troops to finish it off before reinforcements can arrive, but they will find that this Star Destroyer still has some sharp teeth!

Installation: First, create a new folder called "addon" in your "Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData" folder (unless you have already done so). Second, extract the "CD1," "CD2," "CD3," and "CD4" folders from the zip into your "Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\AddOn" folder. You should be good to go!

Gameplay: Though the unit count is already large, I highly recommend turning up the AI controlled opponents to 32, in order to produce the kind of fight these maps were designed for.

Acknowledgments: I would like to thank everyone for the interest in my maps, as well as the feedback and suggestions. Thanks to Gametoast.com for all the help and starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com for posting the files. Thanks also goes to Lucasarts for the materials and to George Lucas for that "galaxy far, far away!"
