About SWBFSpy:

SWBFSpy is the GameSpy replacement master server which supports multiplayer game servers for both Star Wars Battlefront 1 (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) on the PC and PS2 platforms.

Years before GoG restored multiplayer for SWBF2 on Steam, SWBFSpy was already under development, based on OpenSpy which was around for a long time providing players with outstanding multiplayer services for the classic Battlefront games. Ignore the fakespy since only .ORG is functional.

Installing SWBFSpy for Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2:

Go to your GameData (It should be C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront) 
Rename your Battlefront.exe file to something else (an example would be BattlefrontStock.exe) 
Move the SWBFSpy Battlefront.exe to GameData, name it Battlefront.exe and play the game. Alternatively, use the HOSTS file for SWBFSpy.org
For BF2, follow the same steps except BattlefrontII.exe goes here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II

Additional BF2 Instructions for Steam/GoG:
Choose your platform (PC or PS2) and version, then follow the included readme for instructions on .LVL file swapping needed to switch between SWBFSpy and Steam/GoG versions. This includes the shell.LVL file and the optional ingame.LVL along with other included options.
