Hey there, fellow SWBFFilers!

As you may or may not know, over the past couple of days there have been some changes at SWBFFiles. The first of which is that you guys got a new site administrator - me! I'm happy to be able to help out the site however I can, and I'm looking forward to making it great. Just think of me as the Lando Calrissian to our happy city in the clouds that is SWBFFiles. :)

The first thing I wanted to do after stepping up as site admin was fix the poor, neglected front page. It hasn't seen updates in a long, long time (so long in fact, that half of our staff wasn't even listed as being staff :eek: ). To rectify this, I spent a couple hours today going through all the frontpage information and fixing clutter - removing dead links, updating old links, adding in new links or pages where necessary. Two of the biggest changes I want to bring your attention to are our new Plagiarism Policy(which I would suggest you all read) and the Community Links. The latter was in a very dire state of disrepair, with nearly half the links going to dead or inactive websites. I would encourage anyone who feels they have pertinent information to go ahead and submit your links - I can get right on that and we can make sure that the site has the most up-to-date information possible. Also, feel free to let me know about anything else you want to see updated.


The second, and most important in my opinion, thing I wanted to do as admin was fixing our staffing problem. Recently, we've had the majority of our staff be very inactive, and the vast majority of the work of running and maintaining the site had fallen on my shoulders. And while I do enjoy validating and reviewing your files - I really do - when it gets to the point where I'm validating 80% or more of the files, something needs to change. To that end, I've dropped a couple staff members, and some other staff members' duties have been restructured. What does this mean to you? Well, the bottom line is that I'd like to get a few more new staff members. Here's what I'm looking for:

File Poster: To be a strong candidate for a file poster, I would hope that you have a good deal of modding experience, and most importantly, are willing to spend time each week uploading files. It is my goal not to have files sit for more than 48 hours before they are uploaded. Ideally these staff members would be very familiar with modding the game. I'm looking for a couple people to fill this role.

PotD Moderator: The role of PotD Moderator would be simple - you would validate PotDs and moderate the comments related to them. It's not a hard job, but you would have to be very regular in coming to the site - remember, it is picture of the day. I'm looking for one person to fill this role (since a couple of us already work on this).

And remember this when filling one out - take time to make it sound nice and proper. For me, it goes a long way to see a nicely written paragraph that adheres to the rules of the language. ;)
