Here we have take two of Ty294's Europa: Bridge map. This version makes a couple changes, though it doesn't do anything about my number one complaint from the first version; the missing sky.
The first improvement I noticed from the first version was the fact that the bridge has been widened. There's also a fair deal more cover, but it's all near the edges of the bridge, so the AI don't make any use of it. It's nice that there is some cover, though. There's also less tanks, though I suppose one or two more from the current amount still would have been fine with the enlarged bridge size. All in all, the map design was better.
There were a couple changes to the sides, but only in the Clone Wars era. The Super Battle Droid was beefed up, and a new unit, called the Minelayer, was added to the Republic side. They're decent changes; they're balanced and don't affect gameplay too much, so it's all good. Speaking of gameplay, I noticed that the AI seemed to hnot fall off the bridge as much (or not at all), and that may be due to the fact that the bridge is bigger.
I won't comment any further on the black sky, since I've already expressed my feelings on that in previous reviews. So, download away if this map intrigues you.
Unzip and place in addon folder. CW story: Dispite heavy resistance from the CIS, the Republic eventually broke through their lines and pushed on toward the large bridge that connected to the CIS base. The CIS was waiting for them. GCW story: The Rebels slowly withdrew from the overwelming Imperial force to the old bridge connected to the base. As the Imperial troops began crossing they were met with heavy Rebel resistance... Here is version 2 of Europa: Bridge. There a few changes. The Bridge is much wider. There is much more cover on the bridge. I've cut the number of tanks in half. The CW sides have been edited; the SBD is much stronger and has a faster gun, and I've added a new unit for the Republic. One more thing, I've made up my mind not to change the black sky, the reason for it is that Europa has thick cloud cover and being far from it's sun it has very little light. So it stays.
