Some of the animations tied to using furniture are painfully slow. This mod aims to remedy that. It comes with various speed multipliers for you to choose from Created by Dank Rafft

<<< FEATURES >>>

Do you consider the animations when using certain furniture pieces (sitting accommodations, workbenches, cockpits) too slow? Are you annoyed of them playing this slowly all the time, that you have to endure them that way hundreds of times throughout a playthrough? If your answer is "yes" then this mod is for you. It provides a bunch of reasonable options for you to customize your gameplay experience with those animations.
The mod comes in a convenient FOMOD installer. That allows to easily install the different speed multiplier options in a couple of mouse-clicks, featuring detailed descriptions.

Available animation speed multipliers:

Comparison video, provided by user rasamasala:

Due to the nature of the included global animation graph for furniture the mod will affect all furniture animations equally percentage-wise. It also affects NPC animations. That's why there are no multipliers greater than x2 - they'd look extremely goofy and might break some NPC interactions.

The files are bundled so that they can be easily installed via mod manager. Both Vortex and Mod Organizer 2 are officially supported by this mod. Other mod managers might work as well but I haven't tested them.
If you intend to install the files manually feel free to do so but be aware that I won't provide any assistance/support in this instance.

When installing any mod that contains loose assets, like this one, you have to make sure that Archive Invalidation is enabled in your game's INI (settings) file. This is how it is achieved:

    Go to the following folder:
    ..\Documents\My Games\Starfield
If that folder doesn't contain a file with the name "StarfieldCustom.ini" yet then create it.
Open "StarfieldCustom.ini" with a text editor of your choice (e.g. Notepad++).
Add the following part to the file's content, if it isn't present already:
Save your changes and close the text editor.

More information on that topic can be found in this Modding Wiki article (powered by NexusMods).

Any variant of this mod will conflict with other mods that also make changes to the following animation files:

Does this mod disable achievements?
No, it does not.

Is it possible to switch from one variant to another?
Yes, it is. Just reinstall the mod and select different options from the FOMOD installer.

Is it safe to uninstall mid-playthrough?
Yes, it is. This mod only contains loose assets and nothing related to them is baked into your save.

Will you create variants with multipliers greater than x2?
As mentioned above, multipliers greater than x2 won't happen due to NPCs also making use of the same animations, which would look really weird and might even break some interactions.

This mod doesn't work. Why is that?
You might have installed another mesh/animation mod in your Documents folder. Doing so will disable the game folder as a valid mod folder. More information on that can be found through the Wiki page linked above under Install Instructions.
