File Description

The Chinchuba Class takes cues from both the Defiant and the Intrepid class starships. At first glance the ship appears to be a kitbash, however, the design was constructed along side the Anomie class independent of both the Pathfinder and Intrepid Deep Space Scout projects. The Chinchuba Starship is designed for the specific role of providing Starfleet with a quick tactical response in distant parts of the quadrant where trouble might be brewing.

It has been rummered that half a dozen of these ships were stolen from one of Starfleet's deep space construction facilities by a pirate faction. Starfleet has denied these reports, however ship yard fleet quotas and the fact that Starfleet has deployed several heavy escorts to the same outlying region suggests otherwise.

The model contains 980 polygons. As with most of my models, I attempted to keep the polies low and draw a texture that is comprable but not better than those found in the game. You should not have to replace every stock ship just to match up with mine. This model was built in June of '04. The shape of the front of the ship including the navigational deflector mounts were an attempt to simulate a nautical look. While I was very happy at the time with the way the front turned out, I just could not close out the model with a decent back and warp nacelles. After working some ideas with Atolm/Azel, I had finished a model, that model still sits on my hard drive, for, I was still not content with the warps. Finally, in an effort to get to a release, I slapped some Defiant-style nacelles on the back of the ship. Though I am not completely satisfied, this is the best I could do to date. Don't be suprised if you see another version of this in the future.

You don't have to have alot of money to make a decent ship :)

Installing this addon is a function of your own risk. If it messes up the game, I will take no responsibility, such are the perils of modding. Unzip zip file into . . .Assets/Models folder in your main Starfleet Command directory. Access shiplist.txt from the . . .Assets/Specs folder with a spreadsheet program (an ASCII reading program will also work). Make a backup of this file. Scroll through the ship listings until you find the ship you would like this ship to act like, copy the line, and paste it below as a new entry. In the new entry line, change the “Class” to something distinct and change the “Geometry” to “assets/models/chinchuba/chinchuba.mod”. Save the file. Your new ship will be accessed through the shipyard while in the game. If you have any questions or comments, my e-mail is interstellarmachine@hotmail.com

Interstellar Machine Corporation wants you to know that we have committed our lives to Jesus. You see, He made everything there is, including us. He loves us but, there is a problem. The wrong each of us has done separates us from Him and condemns us to death and hell. The bad news is there is no good things WE can do to be right with Him again. But, The good news is that He loves us anyway and died for those things for which we deserved to die in our place. Because of His power, He was able to overcome death and live again. We can share eternity and a close friendship with Him forever if we will only accept and trust in Him to rescue us and allow him to guide our lives.
