There is an "Other" option #4. And I would choose wolf, it's the closest thing to a man-eating dog.

I picked land dreugh because they're my favorite monster in the whole game, thats also why I chose to make them into a mount :)
dreughs rock, I remember fighting my first water dreugh in Morrowind and I was like "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT OCTOPUS THING!!! AAAH!" rofl... I loved Morrowind's and Daggerfall's water dreughs and then Oblivion's land dreughs are just as awesome.

oh and #1, a hawk pet is an AMAZING idea! I should see if I could make one... wow... just modify the imp skeleton and give it a script akin to my hoptoad spell from paradise arena to make it fly higher and voila, you've got a hawk pet. Then I could even make a hawk-flyer's gauntlet (or whatever they're called) and make you literally see it on your fist... that would be so cool... then you could have it fight bandits and stuff and they would be like "what the... there aren't supposed to be any birds in this game"
other = whichever goes for the highest price on the black market.
Another monster I would want for a pet is Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris is pet to no one; rather, everyone is pets to Chuck Norris.
