Adds archery shops to the Imperial City Market District and just outside the eastern gate of Cheydinhal.
This is the latest version of the first Oblivion mod I ever made. The old version can be found here. For the past two years I've done updates every now and then, but it's always been a little buggy so it was only for my own personal use. I think it's "polished" enough now to show to the public again.
Changes from the old version: - Added an additional archery shop just outside Cheydinal's eastern gate. - New enchanted bows and arrows - Better managed levelled loot lists - Option to have the Archery Shop merchants not use levelled loot
Archery Shops v2.0 Adds archery shops to the Imperial City Market District and just outside the eastern gate of Cheydinhal. This is the latest version of the first Oblivion mod I ever made. For the past two years I've done updates every now and then, but it's always been a little buggy so it was only for my own personal use. I think it's "polished" enough now to show to the public again. To install: Just copy all the contents of the zip file to your ..OblivionData folder. From the Oblivion Launcher, in your Data Files list, enable either "Archery Shops 2.0.esp" or "Archery Shops 2.0 no LL.esp" The 2nd one removes loot lists from the bow and arrow merchants so you can access all bow and arrow types at any level. Don't enable them both or else it will probably screw things up. Changes from the old version: - Added an additional archery shop just outside Cheydinal's eastern gate. - New enchanted bows and arrows - Better managed levelled loot lists - Option to have the Archery Shop merchants not use levelled loot Many Thanks: First to Zarkis, VagabondAngel, and Arcanox for their work on the Bank of Cyrodil mod. This was one of the first addons I downloaded and back when I was still learning the use the editor, I toyed with this mod more than any other. The entrance to the Imperial City Archery Shop is right next door the Bank of Cyrodil if you have both mods and it looks very similar. Made the zip fle bigger than I expected. Nicoroshi's mods are amazing. I highly recommend all of them, especially the Dreadweave set. That's so Nico: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=2140 Nicoroshi's other work: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=User.EntriesListing&id=104519 Finally, I have to give a special thanks to Lord Devil, aka Quatloos for making Vivec Marksman's shop: the very first mod I downloaded for Morrowind and still among my favorite mods of all time. Recently, I learned of her passing and it struck me deeply though I knew her only through the addon. It amazes me how one person's small spark of creativity can bring so much joy and inspiration to so many others. The very reason I made my original Imperial City archery shop was because playing Morrowind I got so used to having a central place to buy all my marksman supplies. Her work was my inspiration, and I can only hope that my work can serve in her shadow as a fitting homage. Morrowind addon - Vivec Marksman's Shop: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=697 -Nicaeneon 1 June 2008 ***OLD README from May 2006*** Archery Shop by Nicaeneon v1.0 This is the first mod that I've ever uploaded for others to use. I've made a bunch for my own amusement but I felt that this mod could be appreciated by all. Basically it just adds an Archery Shop in the Imperial City Market District. The archery masters at this shop sell a variety of bows and arrows, including enchanted arrows. The vendors' merchant inventory is all leveled so I think it is reasonably balanced. This mod also adds several more tiers to the the bows and arrows list in weapon vendors' merchant inventory. There are a few texture and AI bugs but otherwise I haven't noticed any big issues. The texture glitch is the sign I tried to make for the shop building. It turns black during some weather conditions. Also, the vendors' AI isn't as in-depth as most other Oblivion NPCs. I may or may not fix these in a later version. Details v1.0 -Adds a new building in the Imperial City Market District along the west wall. -Adds an amateur-custom-textured sign which is attached to the building -Adds 3 new interior cells (the shop, a basement, and living quarters) -Adds 2 new archery-related merchant NPCs -Adds 2 new spells, Minor Soul Trap and Blink -Adds several more tiers to the Leveled Loot list of arrows and bows sold by vendors across Cyrodiil (vendors sell Daedric arrows after you reach level 60) send comments to firstname.lastname@example.org
