This mod makes sure that the gates to Oblivion won't disappear once you've completed the Main Quest. So now you can venture back into the realms of Oblvion and resume kicking those Daedra around :)
Don't Close MY Gates Mod Version 0.2 (Probably Final, unless something else goes wrong) Alright, this script has been fixed, tested, and should work with a reasonable chance of not destroying your copy of Oblivion utterly and completely. As before, the primary purpose of this file is to keep those Oblivion gates open after you complete the main story quest. With this version, the quest counter *should* work properly. Also, Edgar in the IC Marketplace has the spell suggested by zixinus (many thanks) which re-opens an Oblivion gate when you cast it on a closed one. For some reason, on reopened gates, you have to activate the base of the gate instead of the firey part... Intallation is simple, just copy it into your Oblivion/Data directory. If you have the previous version, just overwrite and you will not lose your gates if you've already completed the game. If, however you do not have the old version and have beaten the game, you will have to use the spell to open new gates... Thats all...as before, feel free to mod this all you want, just give me credit (and those whose ideas have been integrated into it)!
