So you fought a critter. So you've contracted Ataxia, or Witless Pox, or the dreaded Ticklebritches (ok, that one can't even be contracted). So your STR is down by 10, and your AGI is down by 10, but you go on skipping on your merry way, plowing through whatever dungeon you were in, and the thought of seeing a healer ASAP doesn't even cross your mind. So you can't hit them QUITE as hard, but Feather will take care of that encumberance problem, and you just HAVE to find that coveted Stiehl's Codpiece of Ungodly Virility or CuteUnit's Breastplate of Impenetrable Chastity. You'll get yourself cured when you get to a healer...
This mod makes the diseases... well, not ALWAYS deadly, but much more of an impendment than they used to be. Firstly, whenever you contract any disease, you'll experience sight blurring to represent your character's rising fever as the virus works its way into your system. If you remain uncured for more than 24 hours, the disease will progress, further ravaging your attributes; your fever will also rise, making it more difficult to see. You'll also find it more difficult to forge ahead as your character will become more and more exhausted.
Still not convinced to quaff that last Cure Disease potion?
Too bad. 2-5 days after the initial infection, your disease will progress to its terminal stage, severely crippling you and making your progress all but impossible. Get yourself cured soon... or end up as roadkill because you'll become easy pickings for anyone desiring a piece of your succulent flesh.
Different diseases have different effects as they progress. All of them will take a toll on your Fatigue regeneration and disrupt your vision (but some more than others). Some will crush your magicka supply; others will ravage your health (and yes, if you happen to be weak at the moment, they WILL kill you). Yet others will disrupt your character's coordination, causing him to trip up and fall flat on his face. Not exactly the greatest thing to happen to you in the middle of a fight!
