This is something that I have been asking for for a long while. Static water meshes. No longer are we limited to single water levels in a cell. You are free to make fountains, elevated pools, and all manors of water filled objects. This has so far been my favorite Modder's Resource, not to mention the most useful.
======================= Texian's Static Water Meshes Version 1.00 ========== by Texian =========== Whats it does =========== TSWM is a modder's resource that allows for static water-like meshes to be added to any open container or other object where the appearance of a water surface is desired. The meshes are suitable for placing in static objects such as buckets, wells, tubs, fountains, troughs etc. I don't recommend the meshes be placed in any container which will be lifted or moved. The meshes come in sets of four shapes with 3 texture choices for each shape. The shapes are infinitely scalable and should look good up to 3x their current size and as small as 0.005. The meshes are sufficiently transparent that they can also be layered to produce some interesting and unique visual appearances in your containers. ================ Whats it does not do ================ TSWM does not have any flow, splash, underwater or collision properties and should not be used in any situation where the emulation of real water is required. ======= To Install ======= 1. Extract the WaterStatics folder to your Oblivion/Data/Meshes folder. 2. Extract the Water folder to your Oblivion/Data/Textures folder. ========== To Uninstall ========== Simply delete the files that were created in the meshes/textures folders in Oblivion/Data. ========================== Placing the meshes in the game ========================== For each mesh you want to use, a new static object with a unique form ID will need to be created. ========================= Oddities, Glitches, Compatibility ========================= No known issues. ========== Permissions ========== TSWM is a modder's resource so anyone using it has my permission to change the meshes and textures in anyway needed to meet the requirements of their mod and can include them in any mod without requesting additional permission. It would be nice if you give due credit to Texian in your readme file. ====== Thanks ====== Thanks to Aberneth, Scruggsywuggsy the Ferret for providing the motivation today to produce this resource for the community. And a huge Thanks to my son and modding partner, GodHugh, for giving me the idea to create the original dye meshes which will be included in our Haven of Serah mod. ========= Contact Info ========= If you have any questions or comments send me a PM on the Elder Scrolls forum.
