Skyrim is one of those rare third party AAA titles for the Nintendo Switch, and while there's certainly some novelty to being able to play the game on the go thanks to the Switch's two-in-one capabilities, there's no denying that it is more akin to the older generation of consoles, rather than the recently released Special Edition for next-gen and PC.
One feature that was hopefully coming, however, was the Creation Club, which is Bethesda's answer to mods on console, and already exists on Special Edition for PS4 and Xbox One. Sadly, it seems that won't be happening anytime soon, as Todd Howard put to bed any hopes for the feature in a recent interview with Eurogamer.
When asked weather Creation Club was coming to the Switch version, he said;
Right now we're doing nothing. People, they're on other things. Our Switch group did Fallout Shelter ... and that's done really well. I'm surprised at how well it's done ... We would love to see it happen but it's not something we're actively doing.
So while Bethesda are aware the fans want it, it's not something they're choosing to focus on, weather that be for technical reasons, or simply because of numbers. In any case, it does not seem that the feature will be coming anytime soon, if ever.
