Imagine you are in a rush to to get to a lan party, but you haven't taken the time to wrestle that huge 19/21" monitor into your car. You've got the pc, wireless mouse and keyboard and you stand there for a second staring at your behemoth of a display before you grab off the wall a thin sheet of plastic a couple of cables attached. You dash out the door rolling the sheet up and sticking it into your bag as you go......It could happen. [quote]Think of a television screen rendered on a poster. Imagine monitors made of single sheets of flexible plastic. The images you're conjuring up are some of the futuristic technologies Xerox researchers are developing. Scientists at the Xerox Research Center of Canada are working on semiconducting organic polymers that show promise for enabling the printing of electronic patterns on plastic substrates.
