Any old-school gamers should remember Speedball. Released back in the late 80's on multiple platforms, it still has a small cult following, as well as follow-up's on GB and GBA. Now it's on UT2K3. It gets points for nostalgic value, but as the developer herself says in the read-me "This is a gimmick map". I had some problems with bot pathing, they tend to just grab the ball and run in circles, so you might want to stick with live opponents. I also have to question the choice of weapons on such a small map. It does get some coolness points for giving me flashbacks to my cyberpunk days. So put on some Front 242 and frag!

A Gimmick Map, designed specifically to accomplish something unusual or different, 
or to recreate some specific thing, game, situation, or event.

History and description:

This map is a recreation of the famous Bitmap Brothers computer and console arcade
game called 'Speedball' from the 1980's. Speedball first appeared on the Amiga 
computer, then was ported to numerous other machines, including console machines, 
such as the Playstation and the Genesis. Speedball was played on a very simple court, 
exactly as provided here, and condendensed aaction into a very fast, very quick 
scoring game of brutal and violent competition.

Unique Features:

Specially tuned physics zones permit the ball to act like the original arcade gameplay.
The ball can be bounced off of the walls of the court with great force, spanging the
length of the court, perhaps to score a distant goal. Realworld physics are replaced
with arcade physics in general. This is a gimmick map, designed to allow 
Unreal Tournament players to enjoy a different experience than the usual Bombing Run
game, and thus benefits, and suffers from this fact.
