It provides a small level, well suited for 1 on 1 action. The origional was a bit unbalanced due to the pulse/minigun ammo placement. This remake fixes that and a few other imperfections, and hopefully updates it to the current engine, without overally changing the architecture. The atmosphere has been extended from what the origional was TO ME. If you disagree, make your own. Note that the atmosphere depends on a large number of emitters (the smoke and fog effects). If your performance suffers, as it will on lower end machines (below 1ghz cpu) then it would behoove you (look it up) to turn your world detail down to normal. This will remove the emitters, and drastically help performance. The level is optimized as much as my ability allows, but unfortunately, I can't sacrifice a beautiful environtment for the lower end machines; you will appreciate it when you upgrade. If you like what you see, drop me a line, or hunt me down at the ATARI forums. I have an under-developed super ego that could use some random compliments and excesive fan mail. I have attenion-whored this map as much as humanly possible, but more compliments are always welcome. Author's Notes -------------- Many thanks to all those involved. First, to Rich 'Akuma' Eastwood for making the map to begin with. Secondly to EPIC for improving their engine, and selling so much freedom and creativity for such a low price. To the ATARI forum members: Gui for letting me bother you countless times for opinions/advice, Teddie for the good words of advice, Helios for helping double check my optimizations, and all of you who have supported and helped me make this map what it is. This is my first map, and without their feedback, you wouldn't have wanted to download it. Thanks to Power and Nighty for hosting my endless supply of lame beta's and letting me waste bandwidth, and sorry if I offend either of you for using your names in the same sentence. Also note: Both bonus packs are required for this map. If you're on dialup, get a download manager (getright, download accelerator) and download small portions each day. You'll have it in no time. If you're not on dialup, and you STILL dont have the bonus packs, then whats your excuse? It's FREE stuff! GO! GET! Now! Copyright / Permissions ----------------------- You many not change any items or parts to this level with out asking me first. You may port your own, if you wish, but leave not start from mine. You may not sell this level for profit, as described in the EPIC UT2003 liscense agreement. All mods must be distrubted FOR FREE. Period. ---------------------- UNREAL (c)1998 Epic Megagames, Inc.
