Based on the classic Doom2 level. It’s basically a fairly open arena style map designed for 1 on 1 gameplay. Double jumping can get you to most anywhere. From one pedestal to another, from a pedestal to the second level, over the ramp corners to the jump pads, etc. etc.

Very (dead)simple but awfully nice map! Go grab this one!

Installation Instructions:
Unzip DM-Deadsimple.ut2 into your UT2003\maps directory, and deadsimple.usx into UT2003\StaticMeshes. Start an Instant Action session and select DM-DeadSimple from the preview window.

Known Bugs              : 1) The emitters at the teleporters keep reverting back to a small spiral (same as those around the weapons) regardless of how I set them (they look fine in the editor but changes back once the level is saved. If you know of a fix, let me know.

Whenever I try an editor for the first time, I start off with a DeadSimple version in order to get the feel of the program. If you like the layout, email me for a version for Quake2, Unreal, Unreal Tournament or Halflife.
