Here you have a deceptively small version of the matrix lobby. Its very spacious, yet small considering. The lobby is made of stone textured with that "matrix light" , giving everything that weird greenish look, but it fits. The map also comes with a music file, the bass heavy music track from the matrix, which goes well with the lobby, since it was the music used for it. Bot pathing is good, for what there is of the map to traverse. The map does flow quickly though, given a player load of about 6. All in all, a faithful recreation of the matrix lobby for ut2k3, great for fast and furious DM's. Download now! --PhilPhoenix
Unreal Tournament 2003 - The Matrix Lobby Map ============================================= Introduction ------------ The basis of the map is based upon the lobby scene from the movie The Matrix. The textures used are actually from the movie itself, and so is the soundtrack. It is a very spacey room which can be played very well with six players in it. Specifications -------------- Map For = Unreal Tournament 2003 (Full Version) Map Name = The Matrix Lobby Game's Map Name = DM-MatrixLobby Supported Gametypes = Deathmatch & Team Deathmatch Map Size = Medium (Quite Spacey) Custom Stuff = Textures & Music Soundtrack Optimum Number of Players = 4 Maximum Recommended Players = 6 Extra Information ----------------- The textures for the map were taken straight from screenshots from The Matrix DVD itself playing the Lobby scene to get to map to specific accuracy. The music soundtrack is taken straight from the movie's soundtrack and edited to play the main parts of the soundtrack while still being able to be looped seemlessly... Bots are fully supported in the map and play quite well according to personal testing. Installation ------------ The zip file contains the music soundtrack for the map and the map itself with all the paths already there, so all you're required to do is extract all the zip's files to the Unreal Tournament 2003 folder, by default at: C:\UT2003\ Once extracted, the map will automatically be placed in UT2003's "Maps" folder and the music soundtrack will automatically be placed in UT2003's "Music" folder. Now you can run the game and play the map! Author Information ------------------ Name = Kayron James Mercieca Nickname = 007 E-mail Address = email@example.com
