GODZ completely converts Unreal Tournament into an original action game. What is GODZ? GODZ completely converts Unreal Tournament into an original action game. Featuring incredible battles amongst genetically engineered, supernatural warriors built by rival planets to compete in a Universal-Wide Tournament. The prize is an untold fortune that will increase even the most impovorished planet into a thriving, economic power. Each fighter is a little nugget of nuclear power capable of mass destruction. Qi- synomous with the chinese word 'CHI' in which one believes there is an energy in all living things. GODZ can harness CHI and focus it into powerful attacks. Installation Godz requires Unreal Tournament version 2225. Windows Use the Godz shortcut to start the game (look under Start Menu->Godz). Note that the umod installer is unable to copy existing settings. Thus, you'll have to set them yourself. Mac Double click on Godz_mac.sh shortcut file to start godz. This file will appear in your system folder. You can also make your own file by using this argument: #!/bin/sh ut2003-bin GodzIntro.ut2 -MainMenu=GodzMenu.GodzMainMenu -INI=Godz.ini -UserINI=GodzUser.ini Linux Double click on Godz.sh shortcut file to start godz. You can also make your own file by using this argument: #!/bin/sh ut2003-bin GodzIntro.ut2 -MainMenu=GodzMenu.GodzMainMenu -INI=Godz.ini -UserINI=GodzUser.ini How to Charge Attacks Certain Attacks (like Beams) must be charged up. Hold down the primary fire key to chargeup the beam, you will see a progress meter that informs you of it's power level. When the attack is fully charged, release the fire button. Character Advancement Character Advancement is a new feature that allows gods to evolve into more powerful beings. Each time you deliver damage to an opponent, your rating increases. Your god can ascend all the way to a ranking of 100,000. In a future release, this concept will be expanded upon. HUD (Heads Up Display) The HUD displays your god's QI Energy and Health (lower bar). QI Energy powers all of your god's attacks, flight, and powers. When you notice your QI starting to get drained, you should recharge (Q key). Every attack has a unique Qi composition. If you go into a level by yourself (do not add bots). You'll notice that whenever you fire a projectile, the HUD will briefly display the amount of Qi that composes the attack. It's important to know what attacks will overpower others in godz. GODZ uses an ingame radar system. Enemies will be depicted by red crosshairs. Allies will be depicted by purple crosshairs. Controls Primary Fire - Charge/Fire Attack. Secondary Fire - Bat/Block Attacks. IF you quickly tap this, your god will try to detonate an enemy projectile (or punch an enemy). If you hold down this button, then your god will spawn a shield to protect you against all attacks (each hit will deduct the amount of QI the bolt contained). V - Switches Viewpoint between 3rd and First Person. F - Flight Mode. Note it will use up a bit of QI to sustain Flight. While in Flight mode, press the Spacebar to ascend and crouch to descend. Q - Recharge QI Energy Shift - Hold this key down to move faster. Throwables This version includes a demo of the upcoming throwable feature. When you walk to an throwable item, if you press primary/secondary fire your avatar will pause and pickup the item. While carrying an item, your fighter will move slowly and be pretty vulnerable to attacks. Pressing the fire button will throw the item in the direction you are facing. Combos Godz includes some generic combos that players can perform to land some heavy blows on opponents. HeadButt - press Forward, Forward, Forward, Forward (F, F, F, F) to lunge forward to head butt your opponent. Clamp - Ahamkaara throws little devices that will home-in to the nearest enemy and clip on them,slowing them down.(3 clamps per enemy maximum). *You can perform combos on the enemies you have 'clamped': -clamp leech will drain Qi from the clamped enemies and channel it to you.(D,D,D,D) -clamp gnaw will hurt the enemies(U,L,R,U) -clamp drag that will drag the enemy toward you each combo reduces the lifetime of the clamp (standard=30 seconds). Admin Commands We don't have any atm. Online Gaming Godz provides an ingame server browser which only shows Godz servers. Additionally, Godz provides an ingame news browser. Find out the latest information about multiplayer events and tournaments ingame. If you cannot find any games- then you can easily start your own online game and wait for others to join. Simply click on Multiplayer->Start New Multiplayer Game option. Select your preferred gametype and wait for other challengers to join.
