File Description

It seems that I begin to be a UnrealEd addict :)

This is a quite experimental map for several reasons. I wanted to create a map that involved different enviroments. So you have the outdoor raining area, the subterranean caverns and the indoor facility.

So you will be in quite different areas when playing through the map. I also think that the architecture (globally, with the three different enviroments) is quite original.

Despite the fact that the map has different areas, I planned it to be a map that you can explore it in a short time. I think it's for 4-6 players. It's not oriented for team deathmatch.

In this map there many things I tried for the first time in UnrealEd : skybox, outdoor area, outdoor terrain, rain effect, "oceanic water", cavern, coronas, volumes, antiportals, blocking volumes, ... But I think I managed it quite good. :)

There are some experiments I have made like triggerable lights when the doors open, trying to make the "outdoor light effect", and also this long-way elevators. (Resident)

Anyway, hope you have fun in your ordinary fragfest :) (Resident)

May I add as a side note that i had really bad fps with this level, and i have a high end pc. :( (Szico VII)

www.planetunreal.com\nucleus and it's webmaster DeathBliss for making a review of my FIRST map AS-FactoryUprising for UT. I know it was only my first-map, but it made me very happy to see it reviewed and with comments of other players.

.... I always wonder if anyone reads the readme text files... ok ... here are some random notes :) ...

I'm quite happy with this map. But aarrrg! ... making a map is always fun, but finishing it completely is very hard... suddenly appear the most incredible mistakes and bugs and always -after rebuilding the whole damm thing- seems to be another thing to improve argg...
Anyway, I think this time the bots don't get stuck in any area and they play well in this map, also there's no problem with the lifts... fortunately... 'cos in the begining the bots were unable to use them ¬_¬
I know that the map needs a quite good computer.... after making it I look and... there is really many staticmeshes combined everywhere... I have put several BlockingVolumes in order to solve that.
One thing that I am not very proud of is the lightning bolts, I just started to understand this Emitter actors and don't know exactly how they work.
The last thing I can say (just before making the .zip file :) ) is that after playing (and testing) the map I have found 2 or 3 mistakes but... I'm not a professional leveldesigner so ... :) .... I can't learn and test everything of the editor just for making a custom map.
