This weapon mutator works somewhat like the Enhanced Shock Rifle, it's a weapon replacement. The gun uses self recharging ammo, so you don't need to go get any. The way it works is that you click the mouse as fast as you want to fire the weapon as fast as you want. The higher the power in the gun itself, the more damage it deals.
The recharge rates is pretty high, so you're not struggling too much with trying to kill others. Bots seem to make awkward use of the weapon, the damage is low, but they will occasionally fire in bursts, but don't seem to make good use of it.
This mutator's a lot of fun, nevertheless, and I would think it'd make a good substitute for the ESR in an Invasion match.

Shadows Arena v1 By: Dade Oh my god, this mut has been a piece of work. I have released it multiple times, but it never worked on anyone else's system. Finally, i have it working. Some compiling thing. So enjoy. Feel free to let me know how you like it. Included in this release are the "Shadows Arena" and "Shadows Arena - Zoom" mutators. The first is arena style with the Shadows Rifle. The second is the same, only the AltFire activates a scope. Both muts include the translocator, which you can enable or disable in the game settings menu in InstantAction. Instalation: _ _ _ Copy ShadowsArena.U and Shadows.int into your UT2003\system folder Copy ShdwTx.utx into your UT2003\Textures folder Use: _ _ _ Arena combat with the shadows rifle. (From Codename:Gatling 2003 Readme: ) SHADOWS RIFLE Primary: Fires a variable intensity laser beam. ROF depends on how fast you can click the mouse button. Instead of ammo, the Shadows rifle has a "charge." When the charge is full, the weapon deals full damage. As the charge drops, so does the damage dealt. The charge is always...recharging, but each shot drains it. The recharge rate is quite high, so you won't be sitting around (too long) waiting to deal more damage. Secondary: Same as Primary, Unless using Zoom Shadows Arena mutator, then secondary activates scope. Strategy: Watch the charge. Remember that the greater the charge, the more damage dealt. Fire single shots or in small bursts for the greatest effect.
