Balances teams by adjusting bot skill for each team seperately (in matches with bots) and/or by re-arranging the human players in the game at the start of the match
Super Team Balancer v1.3 Mutator for UT2003 Created by Mysterial (email@example.com) 4/29/03 To install the manual .zip version, extract it to your UT2003\System folder. By default that's C:\UT2003\System. This mutator does three things to help balance teams better: 1) It makes sure there are the same number of human players on each team. 2) If there are bots in the game, they are scaled to the two teams' performance. For example, if the Red Team has really good players and the Blue Team has only average players, the Blue Team's bots will be set to a much higher level than the Red Team's to balance things out. 3) Optionally, it can also evenly distribute the human players among the teams based on their performance in the previous match. You can also set an option to prevent players that have had their teams chosen from switching teams. Obviously, the balancing can't be perfect. Especially if many players are entering/leaving a server quickly the mutator will likely be unable to keep up. However, in many situations it should increase the probablility of even matches, which means more fun for the players. This mutator is server side only and does NOT require a ServerPackages line in UT2003.ini. This mutator has a configuration menu with three options: -Balance Human Players: If checked, #3 above will be done. (#2 is always done regardless of settings) -Force Chosen Teams: If checked, #1 above will be done, and players will not be allowed to switch teams if doing so would unbalance them. -Fair Team Score Difference (%): If the losing team has at least this percentage of the winning team's score, the current teams are judged as fair. This means the mutator will enforce the current teams as they are and not move anyone around. You can prevent this from occurring (and thus always move players around) by setting this option to 100. Feel free to send me feedback. My email is at the top of this file. Changes from v1.2 -Fixed two Accessed None errors -Reduced CPU usage, but it is a bit slower about catching a player that should be moved to the other team. -I managed to do multiple releases before noticing that the in-game config menu had the title of one of my other mods. :o Changes from v1.1 -Added "Super" in front of the mutator's name to make it less likely to conflict with anything else. -In games with bots the number of players on each team balancing is based on human players and bots are ignored. -If there are an uneven number of human players, a single bot is added to the game. Changes from v1.0 -Fixed the mutator not always staying active after a level switch if Balance Human Players was false. -If Force Teams is true, players who just joined are no longer allowed to switch teams if doing so would unbalance them. -Added mutator settings to WebAdmin
