Heres a cool 1 seater vehicle that replaces the Raptor with a hellacopter. Its main guns are like the goliath turrets but the bullets have a small slpash damage. The secondary is like the Raptors missles but these shoot a bit faster. Heres somethin neat: sometimes, if you get hit in the back with an avirl missle, the back part of the hellacopter breaks off and you start falling but that doesnt mean its destroyed. This vehicle has 600 health and has custom sounds that are pretty realistic.

Primary fire = 50 caliber chaingun. Devistating. Alt-Fire = Homing missile same as the Raptor Other: Limited upward firing range. Altitude definately has its advantage. 650 hit points so you can last a bit longer and do more damage Increased vertical lift as well as strafing, making this vehicle more responsive than the Raptor and you'll spend less time flying into the ground Changes 5/30/2004 400 hitpoints PrimaryFire only does 19 damage Changed skins to final blend so model doesn't become transparent when hit with the link or shock weapons Got rid of amnbient sound for the 50cal to lose the 'waterfall' sound when you had a dozen bullets flying 5/31/2004 Fixed problem with rotors not rotating in 3rd person view during net play Fixed problem with homing missiles not homing 6/01/04 Added tail wing to model Increased UprightStiffness and UprightDamping Created breakable rotor blades 6/03/04 Removed breakable blades - just not cool looking enough Added breakable tail - increased health to 800 but at 300, tail breaks off and causes severe lack of control Created new meshes with wires hanging out of damaged tail section Put exhaust back in 06/05/04 Set health to 600 - TailHealth = 100 Fixed so that all effects work during net play Changed windshield shader to better looking shader Set up tail health so that tail breakage is independent from total health General gameplay balance ==================================================================== * Known bugs * ==================================================================== Tracer appears when firing the homing missile and looks a little silly. Because the Atakapa replaces the Raptor, some spawing areas may be too small to allow the Atakapa to take off easily. Case in point would be ONS-ArcticStronghold where spawning occurs at the bases. For the most part, this is not an issue, but be aware - I have no idea as to what to do about this. ==================================================================== Installation ==================================================================== Extract the file with the given extentions into the designated folders: .u -> System .ucl -> System .int -> System .utx -> Textures .usx -> StaticMeshes .ukx -> Animations .uax -> Sounds ***To use in net games:*** Open up your UT2004.ini Scroll down till you come to the section headed by: [Engine.GameEngine] Then go about 2/3 of the way down that section and add the following line: ServerPackages=NAtakapa Save and close the file.
