The original Domination game type from the (UT99) Unreal Tournament: Game of The Year edition is back for Unreal Tournament 2004. This is the real Domination game type every thing is the same as the original, down to the unlimited use of the translocator!

Also included is the new game type of Vehicle Domination. Domination with the use of Vehicles! Two styles of Control Points can be used. (Neither type affects play or scoring. They are only for visual preference.) The default being the new transparent style that really shows off the 3D power of the Unreal Engine. The other style of Control Points, is the original style. The look and feel should make any returning veteran feel at home.

 1. Details

The original Domination game type from the (UT99) Unreal Tournament: Game of The

Unreal Tournament 2004


Recommended Requirements
------------------------
Unreal Tournament 2004 with Patch 3323 or higher

Note:
During the entire development stage, we mainly used versions 3270 and 3323. 
Compiled with version 3323.  It should work with prior versions, but we will not 
give any technical support or help anyone with a earlier version then 3323.

Compatible with AntiTCC 1.18c, UT Comp 1.4b, and OLStats 3.01.

 3. Dedicated Network Servers
==========================================================

3.1 Notes
---------
The ut4mod installer will have added the ClassicDom package to the ServerPackages.
So if you used this method of install, you can skip the next step.  If you have
the ZIP file, there are some things you should be aware of.


3.2 Recommended Install Method
------------------------------
Add the ClassicDom package to your servers UT2004.ini file as shown below

[Engine.GameEngine]
ServerPackages=ClassicDom

While adding the package to your servers ServerPackages list is not required 
because if it is not in the list, the mod will add itself (a new feature of UT2004). 


3.3 Auto-Add Method
-------------------
If the auto-add method is used, it is recommended that you change/add to the 
command line used to start the server, by changing the default game type of the 
server to ClassicDom.ClassicDominatio. The base command should look something 
like this:

 UCC SERVER cDOM-DMP-Malevolence2004?game=ClassicDom.ClassicDomination -log=server.log

 4. CDOM Game Setting
==========================================================

bUnlimitedTranslocator=True     Allow the Translocator to be Unlimited
bAwardAdrenaline=True           Award the player with one adrenaline for each, 
                                one point they earn their team.
bClassicControlPoint=False      Enable for Classic (UT99) style Control Points of 
                                a solid color. Disable to use the Newer Transparent
                                Style Control Points.

[ClassicDom.ClassicDomPoint]
bUseDDOMMeshEffects=False       Set to true to use the Double Dominations Control 
                                Point base (xDominationPointMesh_rc) that will
                                dynamically change the center color of the base, to
                                the teams color that last captured a control point.

 5. Creating Classic Domination Maps (For both 2 and 4 teams)
==========================================================

5.1 Pre-Setup
---------
The following is not required, yet recommended to make life easier on the mapper. 
The ut4mod installer will automatically add the ClassicDom package to the Unreal 
Editors EditPackages list.  This is so that the game type will automatically be 
loaded when you start up Unreal Editor.  If you did not use the ut4mod installer, 
you can manually add the package to the list yourself by adding the line in your 
UT2004.ini:

5.2 Making a cDOM Map
---------------------
In Unreal Editor 3, begin to create your map.  You will want to use cDOM's version 
of ClassicDomPoint for each of the maps Control Points.  These can be found in 
Actor Browser by following this path (with Use 'Actor' as Parent checked):

   JumpDest->
    JumpSpot->
     GameObjective->
      DominationPoint->
       xDomPoint->
        ClassicDomPoint

If ClassicDomPoint is not listed, then you will need to open the ClassicDom 
package. Place the ClassicDomPoint actor in the map for each Control Point.  
Then set each ClassicDomPoint properties of xDomPoint.PointName (This is the 
name of the control point, the title displayed on screen when playing).  Second, 
set the GameObjective.ObjectiveName for each control point. Use a unique name for 
each of these properties.

Finally set the default game type for the map By going to the menu / View / 
Level Properties Then set LevelInfo.DefaultGameType to:

 ClassicDom.ClassicDomination

or for a vehicle Domination map:

 ClassicDom.VehicleDOM


5.3 Notes
---------

When making maps for 2 or 4 team Classic Domination, allways set the 
LevelInfo.DefaultGameType to ClassicDom.ClassicDomination or ClassicDom.VehicleDOM
ClassicDomPoint does has the methods already built-in for 4 team support.
